Trevor's Star Wars Make A Wish trip

Thanks! Allie's appt isn't actually until May 2nd... We will find out more then. Kara did get water in her ear... little stinker But she is 4 and hasn't been able to get it wet the last 3 out of 4 months so I think she is doing pretty good. Surgery will be middle of June at the earliest so this little episode hopefully won't set her back to much! The surgeon said there isn't much we can do about it and she is only 4 so to try as hard as we can to not let it happen again...

I need your help! Especially from all you Star Wars fans out there! I am trying to come up with an evite for Trev's reveal party. I wanted to think of something fun for the yes/no/maybe portion. Maybe relate it to Star Wars somehow... I should have been brushing up on my Star Wars lingo... Hard to believe but Star Wars is not my thing no matter how much I try! But I do LOVE that Trev is SO into it! I am learning so much about Star Wars from him and the girls

Less than 7 weeks until we leave!! We started the countdown calendar for the party and you can feel the excitement in the house!!

So sorry to hear about the ear. It's hard to keep a 4 year old from getting it wet.

For Trev's yes/no, how about...drum roll please...Are you the droids we're looking for?

We went to Sea World for the first time since Halloween. Went to Guest Services to get JJ's piece of paper. We have gotten it each time, but have never used it. Seems we end up just walking around, eating, and catching a show or two. So I asked this time how exactly it works. The "cm" said it is only for the rides. She told us to make sure we show up early for the shows. We didn't go on any rides though.

Coming out of lurking. I don't know if you've found a Rapunzel swimsuit yet or not but the disney store by me has them as well as disneystore.com hope that this helps some.

Trev's wish coordinator called and said Jedi training will be set up for him! Not sure on the other SWW stuff yet. At least that is one thing we do not need to worry about!

I am checking to see if they can reserve a spot for the carbon freeze me at SWW too. I think Trev would like that!

WOW!! My boyfriend would have had a field day with this!!! He was sooo disappointed that he couldn't do the jedi training at WDW....keep in mind he's 30!! LOL

They def have tangled bathing suits on the disneystore.com in case u can't find one in stores!!

I did find a Rapunzel bathing suit on the online Disney store but I haven't bought it yet because I am not sure it is worth $25. Especially since I do not know how often Kara will be in the water this summer. If I knew she could get her ear wet I would be all for it. Right now she has been fine with the Ariel swimsuit I bought so I may just leave it at that.

Each morning Trev gets up and pulls off a Mickey head from his calendar. He is getting SO excited for his party!! 6 weeks left until we are on his wish trip!!! I have been getting emotional again now that it is getting closer. I can't believe he is really getting his wish! I am so excited for him.

We went on a field trip to the zoo this week with Trev's class and we wore our amazing Animal Kingdom outfits... They were a HUGE hit!! The kids still love showing off their new clothes and they are a big hit wherever we go I can't say it enough how grateful I am to all of you that have helped make our trip even more special!! THANK YOU!!!

I am still waiting to hear back from MAW to find out how much we need to plan for his SW day or if they are planning the whole day for us. I wouldn't mind them planning that day for us to make sure Trev gets to do everything he wants that day since SWW is his actual wish.

Please keep Allie and Kara in your prayers as Kara goes to her pre op appt and we find out how her ear is healing and how much more hearing loss she has suffered. We will most likely be scheduling her next surgery at that appt. Allie has an appt. to see how her ear is doing as the surgeon thinks Allie has the same condition as Kara. Allie is super excited to be seen at Childrens too! If they both need surgery maybe they can do it on the same day so we can get it all over at once instead of going through it two different times this summer!

I hope y'all get to do the surgeries, if needed, on the same day!! That would just make it oh so much easier!! S awesome about the zoo day and Disney outfits!!! I'm sure they felt so special!! I hope maw plans the whole day for y'all!! I know it would take a load of stress off of having to plan it urself!! Jackie, I'm behind on the DIS. My parents came to visit us and they just flew back home. Now I'm playing catch up at home and online.

Congrats on finding the Rapunzel and I can understand sticking with the Ariel one.

6 weeks will be here before you know it! It is exciting that he is getting his wish. I hope he loves SWW as much or more than JJ. It's always been everything Jj hopes for and more.

I'm sure your family was the best dressed at the zoo!

I'm getting nervous for you about your SWW day and not knowing whether it's planned or not. I know how fast JTA fills up in the morning.

I hope you get good ear reports. Will be thinking of them and praying for you all.

Jackie, I am still here! DON'T stress over not knowing all of the plans...we didn't find out our "stuff" until we were actually in Florida...two days in! IF your chapter says they have it coordinated with the Florida chapter they will! If they HAVEN'T told you that, press them to tell you that is confirmed. What I found out is local chapters have no pull at WDW and it is all coordinated thought the Florida MAW office at the request fo the local chapters. HTH your stress level!

Trev has started spring soccer and he has turned into a pretty good player all of a sudden! The girls have learned to read and they are sounding out every word they see. SO cute!!

Trev and the girls are loving their countdown calendar. We have sent out the invites to his party. Which Trev is super excited for!!

Eek so excited for you guys!! Hoping u start feeling a lot better soon!! It's awesome that Trev is so great at soccer!! And yay for learning to read!! We're working on getting Alex to sound out the words, but she just looks at the first letter and guesses, lol. I need to make a countdown calandar for Alex's trip, I know she'll love it!! Yay for the party invites, hope its super awesome!! Here's hoping Allie and Kara can recover quickly from surgery!!!

Yay that they're setting up the Jedi training. Tom & I were sitting & waiting for Angel to ride Star Tours one late afternoon, and we saw the preparations being made, and the line of kids brought in. We felt so bad that they had to cancel it then due to rain. I hope they can set up the carbon freeze too.

Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Hope you're better now, and that the rest of the family stayed well.

Glad Trevor is enjoying soccer, and that the girls are starting to read - so fun.

Quick update. Allie does not need surgery!!!!! PTL!!!!

Kara is scheduled for June and she is overjoyed with having another one! This one will be just as extensive as the last. The growths are wrapped around her eardrum and bones.

We have been at children's all day and I am exhausted!

One more month till we are at GKTW!!!

I know!!! It is getting so close! Kara is super excited for surgery. We rescheduled it for end of July right after Trevs birthday. That way he can have a beach party like he wanted.

I just realized today we only have one suitcase and one carry on! I better get moving and secure a couple more for our trip!

we drive so I pack my boys clothes in laundry bags - don't think that would work if you fly - we don't see my austic boys flying (crowds in a small space isn't idea)

I just notice that I'll be a Disney the same time you will so maybe we will see each other but I'm won't be at the SWW (sister will)

I have been looking on Craigslist for some. My sister is letting us borrow her carry on so that will help! You're right, I don't think the airlines would like it if we put everything in laundry bags When we camp we just through our stuff into reusable shopping bags. This will be the first time since the kids have been born that we need suitcases!

That would be great to meet up! We will be at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kindgdom too. Not sure on the days though.

Not much going on here. Kara is SUPER excited about her upcoming surgery! That makes it a little easier on us... I'm getting over a sinus/double ear infection... Hoping it is gone before the 1st when we fly out!

Trev has proven to be all boy these past few days... The day I had to take the girls to Children's for their check ups he rode the bus home with a friend. Apparently the mom got to the bus stop a few minutes late and the boys decided to play in the bushes and Trev got a nice little cut and bump on the top of his head... He neglected to tell anyone... The other boys did not say anything either even though Trev had been crying about it. They were then driven right to their soccer game as they had pictures beforehand. Trev was running and the boys were roughhousing as usual and Trev fell and landed on his water bottle on his chest. He of course did not say anything to me until AFTER he played soccer for an hour...

A quick call into cardiology to watch for symptoms and a few days later he seems to be fine. His head and chest are sore but that is to be expected. I told him next time he has to tell an adult right away. Special heart or not. No one should play soccer right after getting hit in the head like that! Ugh! This self regulation stuff is hard! I try not to hover but sometimes he makes it difficult!

The weather has been beautiful. Rare warm weather this early in the year, near 80 today and hotter tomorrow!... I think it is getting me ready for Orlando

Less than a month left!! So many emotions right now. Happy, sad, excited. We are very blessed to be going on this trip but sometimes I wish it wasn't because of Trev's medical history.

Trev's countdown party is in 2 weeks he and the girls are getting SUPER excited!! And so are we
