Starbucks situation lately?

Going next week and just wondering what the recent reports are on the hours, mobile orders, etc. I was reading reports of opening the store later than posted, mobile ordering not being available, etc. Did all that stuff get worked out and the coffee shop is back to functioning?

I’ve never seen a location closed when it was supposed to be open, but I guess it can happen.

Most likely because many non-Disney retailers have flexibility as opposed to in park…

FYI it’s Downtown Disney, not Disney Springs when in Disneyland…

Downtown Disney Starbucks employees staged a strike starting back in November. That location turned off mobile order and had irregular hours at least into December. I do not know its current status.

Just a heads up for those who care

This Starbucks location is on Strike, so to each their own but there are other places to get coffee over a corporation that uses union busting techniques and doesn't mind supporting a company who is not hiring enough people and making employees do two jobs at once while not being able to pay a livable wage, while making huge profits

In-park Starbucks are licensed locations staffed by Disney employees, while outside the parks, they are corporate locations staffed by Starbucks employees. Which is why the strike only effected Downtown Disney.

$20.25 an hour plus tips and they are on strike? I met a lady who had a daughter working as a barista making $35 an hour

Is Starbucks considered fast food? If so, $20 is minimum wage in CA.

Everyone is entitled to their opininion and has a choice where they do business, but wasn't it just last year when everyone was up in arms about Disney not paying hard working CM enough?

I've found Disney just gets more crap from everyone then other businesses

Not saying Disney is perfect but people hold them to higher standards for some reason

Also as someone who lives in CA....if you can live off 20 bucks then god bless you but thats rough

Also the CEO makes 95 Million a year while on Average the employees make 15 thousand dollars, so fun fact he is making over 6,000 times more then someone working on their feet all day and working but I'm sure its hard sitting in an office coming up with new ideas for Coffee, lol

I'm not sure where you are staying or what direction you are headed in DTD, but I believe there is a small coffee joint near the Lego Store. My DW and I have gotten coffee there. I believe it was called Sip and Sonder (?), and I don't have total recall but I thought I read a story that the joint changed its name recently.
