Hi all, we have a trip coming up this month where we are staying in a Treehouse. I've wanted to stay there for years, and with the cancellation of our Aulani trip last year the stars aligned to book a 4 night stay before the points expire. A little about our group- we'll have 4 adults and 5 kids (2 girls in the bunk beds, 3 boys in the living room) and have 2 cars. I know parking will be a pain, and am prepared for walking to a remotely parked car. I guess my biggest questions revolve around any tips y'all can provide and my fear that we will run out of hot water cycling everyone through showers in the morning. Anything else I need to keep in mind? We'll have some groceries delivered but will eat lunch & dinner away from the treehouse. Thanks!

Have the kids shower at night so they can jump out of bed and go. See if you can get a treehouse next to the boat dock which we loved! It was a ride in itself and drops you in the heart of DS for all the dining you could need. The treehouses are great. The deck out front is so nice.

I will second this as it is where we stayed. It is a little noisier. The MBA is pretty cool as is having your own deck and grill

Actually, a huge benefit of the treehouses is that you can park your car at the treehouse directly for one of the cars. Unfortunately, I believe it only has space for one car. As you have a car, the biggest challenge with the treehouses (lots of bus transportation and slow times) is alleviated.

One thing to remember about grocery delivery is that they cannot deliver out to the treehouses themselves. the entry to that area is gated, but not manned, so you need to have a key card.

We had 5 adults, 3 teens, and 1 child in the treehouse, and hot water was amazingly not an issue at all. We were all able to take showers without running out.
For me, an important thing to know is that the central air in the Treehouse is not zoned, and the controls are in the living room. When the doors are closed, the living room can get much colder than the bedrooms, and if the AC is turned off, the bedrooms heat up much faster than the living room due to air circulation. (We found this out because my brother in law slept in the living room and would turn off the AC after everyone went to bed...). So for those in the living room, if they get cold easily, bring extra blankets.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the boats are currently running are they?

Depending on which tree house you get we have parked our cars one behind the other in a spot because the parking area was very deep that way we left a space open for our neighbors. I think they are on tankless water heaters so no worries about the hot water. Bring bubble bath, it’s out kids favorite to take a jacuzzi bath because you can overflow the tub with bubbles all you want because the tub is in the same wet area with the shower in the master bath. Have a great time it’s one of our favorite places to stay. We did two mini quarantine getaways there last year as it’s the ultimate no contact resort at Disney, no elevators, hallways etc.

My only advice would be to get some cheap ice cube trays at the dollar store and bring them. The fridge has an ice maker but with 9 people you could soon run out and there are no ice machines nearby.

You say that you will eat lunch and dinner out but if you were to do one or two dinners in, each treehouse has its own charcoal grill.

Congrats! We snagged one back in July. Cuz as we all know, they are impossible to get & with COVID not a lot of people were traveling to Disney then. Remember what ever groceries you order you do have to carry up the stairs. We stayed in Treehouse 7057 and it felt like no one was there. It was close to the pool. The paths were closed walking to Springs and I thought I read they were still closed along with the boats.

There is PLENTY of room - the master is HUGE with it's own bathroom.
The 2nd bedroom had the bunks
The 3rd bedroom i wanna say was a queen.
All of the dressers have USB plugs.
Remember to pack bug repellent , they aren't bad but it still is the woods.
You can always ask when you check in if the unit next to you is rented and if not you can use that parking space.
It is sooo relaxing and beautiful.
And as the other poster commented, we never had any issues with enough hot water.
Enjoy. I have a few pics if you want to see them. Let me know .

These are lovely tips.

It's rather comical to see the comment about hot water not being an issue as there's another active thread discussing hot water issues at BRV. I'd expect the Treehouses to have a much tougher time keeping the heat, but I guess not!
