This is a stupid question and I am sure that I know the answer but here it goes:

SSR owners can book the Treehouse Villas at 11 months :confused3

One more question:

The press release states they will be open in summer of 2009, which means we are at 11 months already...When will we be able to book :confused3 AGAIN

Just a thought ...

Wouldn't those "rooms" have to be purchased and declared in to DVC inventory before they would be available to book?!?! :confused3

You hit the nail on the head . . . and the most interesting part is that they are on Saratoga's land. I would love to see what DVC does to include this property as part of SSR.

I called Member Services today to see if I could book the THV at the 11 month mark and she said they are not able to make ressies on the THV. I asked if she knew when they could book them and she said she did not know.

PLEASE let us know when you find out....

We are going July of 2009 and Feb of 2010...We would love to stay at eh THVs one of those trips...And of course I will want to take advantage of our 11 month window.

I posted this on another THV thread, but I think it's more appropriate here. Do you think SSR owners will get 11mo advantage?

Will the units be sold as SSR memberships or will they heavily marketed as THV? If someone purchases based on interest in THV, unless these new owners are given advanced booking preference over existing SSR members, given the size of the existing SSR membership, there could be situations where those members can't book THV even if they call 11mo out. What do you think? Could they set it up so that THV owners could book 11mo out SSR owners 9mo and other resort owners 7mo?

Selling an ownership in one unit size only would seem to be a harder sell (resulting in a lower price), much more limiting than the standard DVC mantra of different size accomodations for different vacationing needs.
And if SSR owners cannot book THV at 11, then THV owners cannot book SSR at 11.

I spoke with my guide....He said all SSR owners will have equal opportunity to reserve a THV unit and all at 11 months out...He believes the points will be similar (maybe a bit higher) to the two-bedroom units already on SSR property...He was not sure about the pool mentioned online...He was not sure where they would put one because of the preserved wetlands...He thinks they will start selling around Jan. or Feb. and start reservations for the summer/fall soon after that...

He did not have much information but he was sure of the 11 month booking window for ALL SSR owners :thumbsup2

I read somewhere that they'll start taking reservations on February 1, 2009.

Most likely they will have some period of time for just SSR owners before opening it up to others. Just a guess.

Are the THVs all 3 bedroom, or are other configurations available? What are the points for reservations? Are new SSR timeshares being sold for SSR/THV? How many units will be built?

Multiple sources with DVC have verbally confirmed that the treehouse points will be the same as a Two Bedroom villa. Nothing in writing, though.

The treehouse area had its own pool so they do have the ability to refurbish that complex for future use. No slide--it will be a "quiet pool" style. But there will be a hot tub.

I'm hearing February 8th now. Owners should get at least 2 weeks to book, meaning that non-owners could not call for any treehouse reservations until at least February 22nd. And those non-owner reservations will be subject to the 7-month window.

They are all three bedrooms but sleep 8-9 guests like a two bedroom villa. Two bedrooms will have queen beds and bunk bed in the third. That will sleep a total of 6 in the bedrooms. Then there will also be a sofabed and sleeper chair in the living room.

More points will be sold for the treehouses.

There will be 60 treehouses total.
