We were talking about this in work today and I mentioned how much I love having my tree lit up. I was surprised at how many people don't have it on all the time.:confused3 I even turn it on in the morning for an hour before I leave for work and then as soon as I walk in the door, it's the first thing I do. If I'm home during the day, the tree lights are on. So do you only light your tree at night or are you like me and light it every chance you get.:)

The first thing I do every morning is turn on my tree. My DD has a little tree in her room, too. When I go in to wake her I turn her tree on. Half the time I am running around at night. Who has time to sit still? I have to enjoy my tree whenever I can so, like you, if I am home it is turned on.

Merry Christmas! :santa:

If I'm home, the tree is on and so is all the garland around all my doorways downstairs :). The lights in the candles in my windows are on 24/7 :). I love the lights. If I get a quiet sec, I sit in the den, tree on a read.

If I'm home the Christmaas tree lights are on too! :thumbsup2

My tree lights are on whenever I'm home. I brought in a tiny tree to my classroom today. We had the lights on all day! (the tree has Looney Tunes decorations on it!)

I really was starting to think I was a little kooky compared to the girls at work. If my bedroom was big enough, I would totally put up a tree in there so I could have it on before I dozed off. Sometimes I will be falling asleep downstairs but don't want to go up and "miss the tree". LOL:rotfl:

At my own home, the tree lights were on all the time.. Here it varies day by day.. If they don't happen to be on when DGD gets home from school she'll turn them on then..:santa:

Oooh. Me too. And my room is big enough. DH might kill me though, but that might have to be a plan for next year!!

Same here. If we're home, the tree lights are on as well as any other lighted decorations we have inside.

If I'm home they are usually on. I don't turn the lights on the banister or the garlands until the evening though.

I figure the tree is only up for a short time and I want to enjoy it as much as I can. My living room is fairly dark if the shades are down as well so the tree still looks really bright even in the day time.

I only turn them on at night except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but NO MORE!!! I will start keeping them on all day when I am home. I do love to look at them!!

Whenever we are home, the tree lights are on! Of course, in the evening when it is all dark, it is even prettier, but we love it anyway and enjoy it as much as we can. We also don't understand why some people wait until so close before Christmas to put theirs up. We put ours up as quickly after Thanksgiving as we possibly can. That way, we have an entire month to enjoy it! So what if we lose a few needles....it is still beautiful.

I also have mine All the time when I'm home. I only turn them off to sleep

Ours are only on when it's night time and we're home and not in bed. To us, there's no point in wasting energy when we're either not home, we're not in the room the tree is in to see the lights or if it's light out since our tree sits in front of a big window.

Right now I probably turn it on a couple times a week at night.

As it gets closer to Christmas I will start turning it on all the time. The tree is in a different room than the one we spend the most time in so it doesn't make much sense to turn it on all the time.

My lights are on...I plug them in before I even let the dogs out in the morning!!

Our tree is in the living room where we spend our time...I can't imagine putting the tree in a room that we don't hang out in. I'd rather have the tree in the room that I spend the most time in.

The room we spend the most time in has NO room for a tree and no room for family open presents on Christmas morning so there is absolutely no reason to put it in this room. besides that, I like to see the Christmas lights through the front window and for other to see the tree lights through the front window. So that plus the fact that the front room has oodles of room for Christmas morning, is why the tree goes there. It makes sense. :)

I am just like you. If I'm home the tree lights are on. I love seeing the tree lit up, whether it be daylight or night time. :)

Now the lights in my village, and other indoor holiday lights don't come on until it starts to get dark. I don't have them on during the day just in case I need to go somewhere, then it's kind of a pain to turn everything back off. But it's not bothersome to just unplug the tree if I have to go out.
