My rep confirmed today that the points for the new treehouse villas will be the same as the regular 2 bedroom units at saratoga springs. They expect to start to take reservations Feb 1st for the June opening.

I had a call in to my rep, but he never called me back. That's good to know. I am looking forward to staying there. I can remember the peacefullness of that resort. It was great to stay there; especially with a big group.

Wow that being said, I see chances of a 7mth reservation slim to none. I wonder if they will have the same cozy feel of VWL during the holidays? Maybe it might take some of the slack for demand?

Wow! Time to start planning my next add-on. Seriously. I LOVE Ft Wilderness & it's cabins - this is the perfect alternative and we might not even have to be evacuated in the case of a hurricane.

The downside is I totally expect the 9 occupant limitation to be abused since they do seem to be spacious. Time to get those geckos trained up so they can count to 9 and report back to the front desk on abusers

Can you imagine MS phone lines on Feb. 1st????? It will be like securing that ADR at Cinderella's castle. :rotfl2: I will be on the phone that morning.....I hope to get 2 or 3 nights for our stay in July. Looks like a 3 way split for us this summer. We will start at AKV, then hopefully move to THV and then end at BCV. I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED. My kids and hubby are really excited about our next summer's trip.

I am also very excited about the THV. However, I do have some concerns about the creatures that live along the water. Snakes, gators....Do you think that they will be an issue so close to water?

I only bring this up because one of the podcasts mention something about seeing a known poisonous snake there. Their fishing guide actually moved to a different spot to get away from it. :scared1:

I like the idea of staying there and I probably will, however, I don't think I will let the kids play outside. I have visions of trying to keep my kids from exploring under the TH. Not my idea of a restful vacation.

Anyone else think about this or am I the only overly phobic DISser here?:rotfl:

I do realize these things can be found all over WDW, however, I think you up the chances a bit by being on the water.:scared:

I think I'll plan a trip...............

Ooh - I can't wait to stay in one of them - but will have to until at least October 2010!

I wonder if we'll get a sneaky-peak at them when we're staying at SSR next April? :confused3

:scared1:  :scared1:  Didn't think about that. I guess it is a risk we will have to take. I am game!!!!!:goodvibes

We are planning on going for Thanksgiving and the 1st week of Dec next year. I am making a ressie for SSR at the 11 month mark. I guess on Feb 1 I will be one of the hopefuls :scared: on the phone to try to switch my days to the THV from a 2 BR. Wish me luck.

Wonderful news...we cannot wait until spring or summer 2010!! THV...here we come...we hope!

If you are talking about the disunplugged podcast, they weren't fishing by the THV, they were in Bay Lake or the Seven Seas Lagoon. Now that isn't to say that there are critters at the THV . . .

This is the second source to state that the points are the same as the 2 bedroom at SSR. I have my 666 points ready for two THV's for next NYE!!!!

I can't imagine having that many points... Just a question that comes to mind... did you choose 666 points? Personally, I might avoid that contract :rotfl:

That is good to know, we have enough to stay about 6 nights in the least 2 expensive seasons.

Exciting.

SOOOO excited here too! I just did a little math and for Adventure season at THV a 2 bdrm villa is only 135 points for Su-Thurs! Wow. Choice season is 145 for the same days, 155 pts for Dream, 180 Magic, and 225 for Premier.

These numbers do not include weekend stays but even then...quite a deal!

No, no ..... A THV for 12/27 thru 1/3 is 333 points. Two THV units would be 666 points for that week. I have 735 points, plus I direct trade my other timeshares for DVC points too.
