Treasure Hunters??

I just watched it tonight. The Fogels did suggest stopping at the 13th star. But then the girl yelled and pointed "there's the last star" and they bolted. So maybe it was a ruse, but the girl did tell them. Maybe not loud enough though. So who knows. But the pastor DID steal the clue right from the girl's hand last week. There's no way that could have been editing. And the Boston boy was just exaggerating when he said 9 miles. It was only 3.

I actually enjoy this show a bit more than amazing race....I like the hunt and figure out clues instead of just giving tasks to complete....its pretty neat....I love both show though...and with big brother all stars starting up...summer finally has a tv schedule....

Someone mentioned a page back or so that it seems like there is not advantage to coming in first. I think there is. On the last show the Hanlons were last and only got a couple hours of sleep while the others had several hours of down time due to coming in ahead of the others. I thought it was funny that the Hanlons slept in the next morning but one of them kept saying "I never got any sleep last night".

Thank heaven the Hanlons are GONE! I couldn't stand that accent or mullet any longer. Pat (father) was simply trying to copy what the Browns were doing and after he refused to help them earlier with the boat.

I feel sorry for the son though. He seems like a good kid.

Agree!

One thing that is weird about this game is that they don't have to go to a location as a checkpoint. You would think that the Fogel's would have had to show up at that house before they could take off to where they had to go. They ended up having an advantage even though they were in last place.

Otherwise, I am enjoying this series.

I'm happy to see the Hanlons go. I think what the Fogels did was wrong last week but I was happy to see that they teamed up with Air Force this week. I really like the Air Force team and they seem the most fair of all of the groups so far. Of course I think they wasted time arguing with the other team at the graveyard. I think the Browns will be gone next week. Then the game will get more interesting.

I think it's weird too..not having to go to the checkpoint. Also, the teams get to call each other to get help. I wonder if The Amazing Race will ever do that? :confused3

Someone needs to explain to the Hanlons what Karma means. I am glad that they are gone. I am sorry that the grad students had to drop out and I am glad that the Browns are still in the show for at least another week.

The previews look great. It looks like the Fogels are going to have a meltdown in swamp.

Yeah...no kidding. Kayte has been upset several times already and to see her collapse is going to be fun.

You know what really cracked me up with the Hanlons tonight was when they were trying to find the departure ticket in the water after running by the stand several times. :happytv:

They didnt help the reputation of us southerners.... :sad2:

This show is so strange. I don't think it's right that the Fogel's didn't have to go to the school. I think it's so odd that they have mandatory "group work". I'm glad to see the mullets go, but if the girls had to drop out they just should not have had an elimination tonight rather than bringing back the Browns.

I don't like the Browns either. They got a second chance at the game, they're overweight and can't swim and they complain they're in last place. :confused3 They had no right to be upset with the Hanlons for not letting them on their boat. Of course the Hanlons had no right to try to sneak the combo from them either.

And why do the other teams dislike the Air Force team? I didn't get that at all.

I like that they need to figure out the clues (kinda like the Mole before they put D list celebrities on it  ), but often find myself really missing the excitement of AR. I gotta say though the teams having cell phones adds a whole new dimension....which I'm still not sure if I like......

Next week looks very interesting though...... ;)

I agree with you. They should still have to go complete the first part of the task! Also, I was wondering how Air Force knew to call the Fogals? Why did they think that the others were already all paired up? Didn't they not like the Fogals either?

:cheer2: Go Team Miss USA! :cheer2:

Well. we've been watching this show for a couple weeks--not sure if I like it yet or not. It seems like a blatant AR rip-off. And, could there BE any more shameless plugs for advertisers? To me, that really takes away from the competitive aspects of the hunt. And some teams have seemed really ill-prepared, like the Browns and Hanlons. But you dont' know if they have any real idea what's going to be expected of them.

That said, I like the premise of teams hunting for clues that aren't so obvious.

I actually like this show a lot more than I liked AR (which I did watch for a season or two). I think it is for a couple of reasons. 1) that it is on US soil 2) that they focus more on the clues etc. then on how they are getting someplace and 3) the make-up of the teams. With AR there always seemed to be so much drama especially between the married or dating couples. Maybe that is one of the things others like.

I don't like how they all communicate with each other by cell phone. I wish they wouldn't help each other.

I had to laugh at the Hanlons being upset and saying it's not fair the Browns were still in it. They are the ones who can only figure out the combination if someone tells them :confused3

They don't like the Air Force team because they've shown that they're the strongest. They've been getting the clues faster (cept the school house) and performing the physical tasks faster. I wonder if Air Force is happy to be paired with the Fogals?
I also don't like how they have so much communication with the cell phones. I thought it would be more team vs team, not helping each other out the whole time. It will start to work against them though. Soon they'll remember it's a competition!

DH and I cracked up when the hanlon guy was laying on the ground trying to see the combo through the Brown's legs. ;)

We were cracking up over that too. I wasn't sure who I wanted to get eliminated - the Browns or the Wild Hanlons. I feel sorry for the Browns, as they are clearly the underdogs and so I'm rooting for them. On the other hand, the Hanlons are such morons they are hilarious to watch. I'm still laughing about them stopping to go get a hamburger from last weeks episode.

The Fogels? Well, I'm just glad that they finally got "fogeled" -not sure how to spell that.

I also thought the teams should have to complete a task before moving on. My husband and I are thrilled that the Hanlons are out! Except we felt bad for the teenager. Next we would love to see the Fogals go. We enjoy the show.
