Anyone see the deal on travelocity? By a 3,4 or 5 day parker hopper and get 2 days free? Any thoughts on this? I am thinking about it, but it just doesn't seem right for some reason.

another marketing scheme. The price differance between a 4 day ticket and a 6 day ticket is apprx. $5. People see that and think "oh my god Im gonna save $100!"

The 3 day ticket (upgraded to 5 day ticket) is a pretty good deal. After you use one day, you should be able to upgrade at Disney as you need to for very little extra! (Maybe I'm wrong?)

The difference between a 3 day and 5 day ticket is $11 (adult, non hopper, base ticket).
Between 4 and 6 - $6
Between 5 and 7 - $6

Shipping costs from Travelocity, if there are some, or service fees or anything else, will probably cost more than the "deal" you're getting. If you buy them at the park, no shipping charges and the price will be the same as if you purchased them from the Disney website.

Other ticket companies were offering this deal as well. I bought mine from undercovertourist before the prices went up, and they have free shipping too.

Your right!! Didn't even check the differences. Here are the cost layouts. It actually costs more to buy from travelocity with the "free" days than to buy from Disney the exact days you want.

On Disney's site: On Travelocity's site:

3day PH = 262.00 3day PH + 2 = 279.00
4day PH = 269.00 4day PH + 2 = 286.49
5day PH = 272.00 5day PH + 2 = 296.07
6day PH = 275.00
7day PH = 278.00

price without the hopper option because it was a great deal at one of the online brokers. (The hopper ticket they offered wasn't a great deal). I planned on upgrading after I used it (as wisely advised here!). As it turned out, we never "hopped" so I never needed to spend the extra money. It was well worth it for us (I think we saved about 20/pp for a total of just under 100 for our family). We also chose to pick them up at the location in FL, since it was right by the condo we rented, so we didn't have to pay shipping. You really have to look at all the options the broker offers, think about what you may REALLY need (we were SURE we'd use the hoppers, but we didn't) and research the cheapest way for you to do it.

Good luck, it can become an obsession (not that I speak from personal expirience, mind you!:rolleyes1)

Sometimes it pays to buy more days even if you hop. You can just use another day. It ends up being cheaper to buy more days without the hopper option like you stated. You really need to decide how many days you will actually go to the park and if you are just going to 1 park a day.

No, you can't. Once you use the ticket at one day at one park, the computer registers the day as "used" and it will be rejected at any other park. Disney is not stupid.

A base ticket is one major (theme) park per day. You are allowed to re-enter the same park if you leave it on one day, but it can only be used at the one park.

Note that the ticket will state on it either "Not Valid For Park Hopping" or "One Theme Park Per Day". That should be a hint.

If you put the ticket in the turnstile of another park the display on the Guest side of the turnstile will be "ACCESS DENIED". The top line of the display on the Greeter side will give information about the ticket, and the second line of the display will say "CROSSOVER NOT PERMITTED". The turnstile will not unlock.

This is because Disney charges $3.00 per day over five days on an adult ticket, but charges $50 to allow hopping. It does not make economic sense for Disney to allow this.

That’s interesting...I thought I could just use another day of my ticket. I know you can't use Hopping privileges. If I had a 5 day base ticket and went to 3 parks in the same day I would have 2 days left. Disney won't do that???

That is correct. Your base ticket will normally have one of the two following phrases printed on it: "one theme park per day" or "not valid for hopping". If you have the hopping option it will either state "park hopper" or have the abbreviation "PH" on the top data row.

And please note that I work in the three front-end positions at the Disney parks: Guest Services, Ticket Sales and Turnstile Greeter.

absolutely not. It costs $2 to add another day to you base ticket and $50 to parkhop. You think disney didnt think about that

Thanks Cheshire for the clarification...Some of the others on this site are quick to respond negatively!! They must need to respond to all posts.
