travelocity code for budget

has anyone had problems using the travelocity code X474200 for buget rental? i saw someone post that the counter agent wouldn't allow it to be used w/out proof of being a travelocity employee? but lots of other people are saying it's a public code. anyone have any feedback positive or negative regarding this code?
i'm concerned i will get there and get slammed w/a much higher price if this truly is only for travelocity employees

Was it a firsthand account or a " I heard" report?

I have not used it, but did have a resi last year that I canceled the day before we arrived. But 2 of the families I was with did use it an there were no issues. There was also a firsthand report that someone called budgets main number as was told it was available for anyone to use.

We used it in February for two different rentals of a few days each, before and after a cruise, and had no problems either time. First we rented from Orlando and returned to Tampa. The second time we rented in Tampa and returned to Orlando.

did you rent a mini van? the code allowed me to resv a standard suv for the same price as the minivan and our family would prefer that but then i saw people saying it was a minivan code...any insight on that part?

Hi andreadoiron,

I alos found this thread that may be helpful. Someone else mentioned using it on a smaller car (full-size, I think). AS far as I have tread through this thread, I haven't seen anyone else with a problem....Here's to keeping our fingers crossed that this continues!
