travellers cheques?

Hi everyone,
just got our money and travellers cheques but they are not american express ones they are barclays visa ones. Can i still use them like cash or not?
If anybody can help it would be much appreciated.

If they are Visa I'm sure you will be fine

We've had different ones on different holidays (depending on who was doing the best rate at the time) and we've never experienced any problems.

Personally, I always get AmEx ones as we've never had a problem using them. However last time we took around $500 from Thomas Cook (don't remember the brand ) but these were accepted just like the AmEx ones so I don't think it matters. As always, best take some ID like your passport or driving license to be sure.
