Traveller's Cheques

Hi all - I realise that we can cash Traveller's Cheques in DL - does anyone know what commission or fees are charged, if any?

I'm just looking at all our options for our trip. Thanks.

When we travel to the USA we use travellers cheques but we use them like cash to pay for an item so you do not actually need to cash them. If the items you are paying for come to less than the value of the travellers cheque we are given the change in cash. Very easy to use!! This way there is no fee to pay.

There shouldn't be any comissions or fees charged if the travelers checks are in US Dollars. If your checks are in AUD then you may see fees for the currency exchange!

Cool, I didn't realise that you could pay for things, I thought they were like a swap item. I think I'll go back in my corner now!

Excellent - I can buy US$ fee/commision free at home, at a better rate than buying cash. This will save me on ATM and other international fees. I think I'll be buying some.
