I have a Feb 2018 trip planned for me, hubby, 9 year old son and my sister. My sister is on the split-stay room reservations that we have for AKL and Poly. We plan to tack on one night at the beginning at AOA (didn't have enough points for this additional night even with banking/borrowing/OTU points). I know that I cannot purchase the current 7-day ticket for the price of 5 for my sister since she doesn't live with us so she will have to purchase her own. My question is...will I be able to link her WDW ticket (she might buy a 4 night or a 5 night, not sure yet) with my MDE so that I can book all of our fastpasses for the same rides? Also - will she have to buy her own Memory Maker or will I be able to get the pictures on my account that we take with her?

Unless something's changed, if she is on your reservations and is a family and friend member, you can get all the fast passes and Memory maker pictures.
My DD goes with me a lot and it has always worked that way for us

I agree. As long as you two invite/accept each other as friends/family in your respective MDE accounts you will be able to make FP+ reservations for one another and anyone else on your F & F list. You do not have to be on the same reservation, just be on one another's F&F list and have a valid ticket for date of the FP. Additionally all photos whether your band or her's was scanned will be visible in both your MDE account. However, only on your MDE will the photos be non-watermarked and available for download.

As Spartan86 indicated, your sister will need to set up her own MDE account and then you will need to add her to your friends and family list. If she doesn't feel like setting up an account, you could do it for her. This is one of the things I hate about DME and trying to set up FP+. For a number of people we have traveled with, it is a one time visit for them and I wish we could just add them to our account and remove them after the trip. Unfortunately, once they have a magic band, they are on your account forever.

With photopass, I would just make sure to have the photographer scan one of your bands, although if she does photos on her own, they should show up. she should see them in her account but would have to purchase the photos.

For my trip earlier this year:

I have an MDE account. I had my park admission in my account. I purchased Memory Maker.

My friend had his own MDE account. He had his park admission in his account.

He sent me a friend request and I accepted. He had photopass pictures taken before I got there and scanned his Magic Band. I saw his pictures in my account.

Using his MDE account, he made Fastpass reservations for the two of us for the days that we would be together. I used my MDE account to make my own Fastpass reservations for the days that we would not be together.

My DD did not have her own MDE account but was listed in mine. Her ticket was linked under her name in my account.
I made fasts passes for us both.

She doesn't have to have a separate account if she doesn't want one. She can be on yours or you can invite her to yours. Either way it will work.
