traveling with multiples!!

Welocme Jpuglsy..

My twins will be six in Feb.
When we went in June we had the stroller and plan on taking it with us this time too. They just get too tired and complain. Plus I like having the stroller to keep our junk in the back of. I think I am still going to take a stroller for a while. I agree I would rather have them happy.....

I will be in WDW from Sept. 20-th till the 29th..Have you always taken your kids out of school at this time of year. I am hoping that at least through elementary school we can continue to do a fall trip..Where are you staying???

Dear kritter,
We are staying off site- renting a house so all 6 (my SIL and her daughter are coming too) can fit without being wiped out financially!
I can't go except during regular holidays- I'm a teacher! I know we are going to broil, but I've bought a misty mate to help out. It does look as though I may be renting a double stroller though (i don't think I'll have enough space to bring the double umbrella in the car.
Thanks for the advice- I haven't been to WDW for thirty years!

WELCOME WELCOME!!!!!

Hi all. It's been awhile. Hope you are all doing well! We are thinking about starting potty trianing:scared1: I think we are going to try going with one kid at a time starting with Luke (b/c once he is trained Abby will be b/c she won't allow her brothers to show her up). How did you do it with your multiples?

We haven't started yet. Our girls just aren't ready. BTW where did everyone get thier little icons on thier signatures?

Do you mean the pictures in the left column? Those are avatars. You can do a search for "avatar" and pick a site - save a few to your compute and then go to edit profile and copy and paste it in. If you mean the smilies in signatures - go to edit signature in your profile and you will see that you can add them.

Do any of you young moms of infant/toddler twins have any help to give. My dd is expecting child #2 and is looking for a double stroller to accomodate a new baby and a toddler. Easy to manuver & collapse so she can use it to travel to Hawaii next summer and then to WDW. She thinks she would prefer a front to back stroller rather than side by side. What do all of you recommend? Any positives or negitives? Thanks!

I have twins that are going to be 4 in a week. We bought the graco double stroller and have been very happy with it. Works out well in airports and at WDW, isn't too heavy, isn't too expensive/fancy that I worry about it. Would buy it again.

We also have a $300 side by side double jogger. Hardly use that one at all only on the beach and when hiking. Doesn't fit in the subaru without taking it appart.

I have a Mac double and I love it. Each seat reclines separately - the hood is large and keeps the kids well shaded. It is one of the lightest doubles strollers on the market and it folds up easily. I prefer the side by side b/c then each child can see and there is no opportunity hair pulling, kicking etc from the child sitting behind. The Mac fits through a regular doorway fine.

Hi,

Everyone just checking in and saying hello...

Been busy swimming everyday with the kids....

Kristin

flipflop: Which Mac do you have? DH and I have a graco double, but are looking to buy a side by side in the Fall. I am most interested in the Macs, but wasn't sure which one to get. Thanks!

Hi,

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Kristin

I have the twin techno. It is worth the extra cash b/c of the recline and foot lock, IMO. I love it. It is really great. If you poke around on-line, you can usually find the the colors from the prior year on-sale --- especially around the time the new colors come out.

Hi Kristin! :wave2: Hope you are enjoying all that swimming. We have been having a blast with our kids at the beach this summer. I feel like they have changed a ton this summer.

On a potty training note, since I asked the question on this forum - I had success with Abby. She is full steam - "I am a big girl. I wear big girl pants, Mommy." Luke will go but hasn't really gotten the whole big picture yet. We have started with Logan yet. They just turned 2 in May so I am not overly concerned about it right now.

I know this has probably been asked before, but how young do you think is too young to bring twins to WDW?
They are are only children and DH wants to go in December when they will be 6 months. I'd love to go, but I'm nervous that it will be too much work and have them too much out of schedule for us all to enjoy the trip. Does anyone have any opinions? Did anyone bring really young twins?

Thanks!!

I brought my twins when they were almost 7 months. They actually started pulling up and taking their first cruising steps in the hotel room.

We bought our DVC on that trip. I brought pool floats for them and we spent at least an hour at the pool each day.

We had a great time. We were with family so we had lots of help. Everyone took turns holding them in Baby Bjorns. They went on all the rides and always were smiling.

However, we are not thrill ride people, so we didn't mind skipping those rides.

Really, it's all about what you want from your vacation.

Good luck:goodvibes

Hi!:)
We brought our twins at 13 months, but really think we could have gone sooner as well. Our trip went great and it was because we kept the babies on the same schedule as if we were home. Same nap times, meal times and bed times. We always started early and went back to the hotel for the afternoons. I think you will have a great time if you keep their routines. Oh, and we scheduled extra days so we would not have to rush and get everything in:thumbsup2

We did the same thing when we took our twins at 11 months old and it was the best thing for while we were there and when we got home.....

Just saying hi! Glad the thread is alive again. We took our trio pumpkin picking this weekend and had lots of fun. It's getting easier and easier to bring them places.
