THANKS!

Not until Dec. 2008. :sad2: The sellers can't close until the end of September (which we knew - and that worked for us b/c we don't need to own until Jan to make ressies 11 months out). We are going to cruise DCL Nov 30 - Dec 4 and then to BCV Dec 4 - 9. We were just at wdw and my DH isn't a go to disney all the time kind of guy. I have been working on his conversion and brainwashing which I hope to cement with our first trip with the kids. The current agreement is that we will go to wdw every other year (though we have been twice in the last 12 months). He doesn't know that I already have been working on a trip for 2009 with SIL/BIL (DVC owners too) and my BF and her DH (we all travelled on an adults trip only to the world last summer for free dining). :rolleyes1

I'm not sure when Star Wars Weekend was/is - I think it's done - did you have a nice time?

That sounds great. When we bought we bought with the intention to go every year and now we are going twice in a year.. It is addictive. The nice thing about DVC is you can go and just hang out at the resort and have such a nice relaxing vacation that way..Plus the washer and dryer are wonderful there too!!!!!

Star Wars Weekend is evey weekend in June at MGM Studios. It is for Star Wars Fans young and old. We are headed out on Sat. So DH is a HUGE Star Wars fan and should love being there. I ordered a Star Wars gift backet to be delivered to the room to surprise him and the kids...LOL!!!!!!!

I had to subscribe to this thread and come on to introduce our new family as additions to the 'multiples club'. DH and I had b/g twins last week and we can't wait for our first trip to the World with them. We are already telling them DW stories during their nighttime feedings!!

WELCOME and CONGRATS Fall1. You have so many joys ahead of you. When you are spending a few nights sitting up rocking babies you can get on here and work on planning your next trip to WDW. It will be a great thing to spend sleepless nights doing. Hopefully you won't have too many sleepless nights though.

I'm SO excited. I got a wild hair and today I booked a short trip for the end of August. I will get to spend my birthday in my favorite place. I'm so happy. I have never had a fantastic birthday before...just the average. This one should be wonderful. We are just going to stay at the All Star Sports because the only other choices with the special deal with the Dining package were the deluxe resorts and for such a short trip I didn't want to spring for the extra...since this was so unexpected! But boy am I pumped about it.

Hope all of you are doing good and having a fun summer. Kristin...enjoy your Star Wars weekend at the world.

Karla

Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Returned from WDW a few weeks ago where we had yet another great trip! Fourth of July fireworks at Epcot were unreal! Full Illuminations show, followed by a salute for the 4th. Ended with Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" and it gave me goosebumps to hear everyone walking out of the park and singing along! Stayed offsite at one of the MVC timeshares we own, and DH says never again! May have to persuade him to rethink that thought, as we don't have enough DVC points to go as many times a year as I like.

Celebrated my b-day with dinner at Chef Mickey's, complete with the birthday cake hat that my 3 dds insisted I had to have and wear. Hey - after being humiliated at the Laugh Floor, the day couldn't get any worse! BTW - new birthday pins allow the cast members to write you name on them. Couldn't get out of it as we picked up our AP's that day, and the CM noticed it was my b-day when I showed my DL.

Can't wait to go back end of September and stay at our beloved BWV. Taking our almost 3 yr old niece for her first trip. Customized maps came yesterday, so I'll be giving them to her in a couple of weeks.

Enjoy the summer! School starts in 5 weeks!

llp479:

Sounds like a fabulous trip. Of course what would you expect when you are in WDW! I can't wait to celebrate my birthday there next month and you can sure bet I will be wearing one of the birthday buttons. :yay:

Hello to everyone. Hope you all are having fantastic summers.

Hey...who better to ask than a bunch of mom's of twins. My twins are all grown so I'm not up to date on strollers. My dd is expecting child #2 and is looking for a double stroller to accomodate a new baby and a toddler. Easy to manuver & collapse so she can use it to travel to Hawaii next summer and then to WDW. What do all of you recommend?

Sounds liek you hada wonderful trip. Hey, we are going at the end of Sept. tooo.. When are you going???????

Hi - just been peeking- I have 6 year old fraternal twin girls ( 2 inches and 8 lbs apart!) and a 9 year old son. We've been through the triple and double strollers and I thought we were past that. the girls turned 6 in May? Do you think they can last?

Welcome Jpugsley: We took our grandsons last fall and even though one of them was 6 at the time he was very happy to have a stroller most days. We tried to go one day without a stroller and even though it was a very short day the kids did a very large amount of whining that they were tired and their legs hurt. It really depends on your kids I guess. Keep in mind that the 6 year old grandson is VERY energetic, in great shape, plays ball and is on the go all of the time. He sure isn't a couch potato. You could always try going without the stroller and then if you realize life would be happier if your twins are riding you could rent one there....a bit expensive but sometimes worth the expense. Have a great time.

Sounds liek you hada wonderful trip. Hey, we are going at the end of Sept. tooo.. When are you going???????

We'll be there on Sept 29 - Oct 7. Can't wait for MNSSHP and Food & Wine! Bring it on! Probably our last Sept trip until the kids are out of the house :sad1: Twins will be in HS fall of 2008 and from what I've heard, it's not a good idea to take them out. They don't miss so much school now because we always work around Columbus day and the extra teacher's institute day that they always have, but in HS they don't get the extra days. It's just too far to go for us for a three day weekend.

jpugsley - First, welcome! As for the stroller, my youngest used hers at WDW until the wheels fell off when she was about 7. It's hard for the little legs to keep up sometimes. I'm all about happy kids, so if it means she's happy in a stroller, then so be it. She was 10 for this last trip and we ended up getting a double stroller for her on July 4th. We were there right at 9 and by 3, after trying to keep up with the rest of us in the heat, she was beat. The twins are now 5'6" and I'm 5'8" and DH is 6'2", so at under 5 feet, she had to take 2 - 3 steps to our 1. DH isn't real good about slowing down, or making sure we're following behind!
