Traveling with a infant, advice please

My DD is due in 5 weeks...( last week of January or 1st week of February) , They will be moving to Fl, at the end of March or early April. DSiL is being transferred here, which is great so that we will all be together. ( I am going to get to watch to baby while they work ) I will be bringing her and the baby here to FL. for them to find a place, he will be about 3 to 4 weeks old. I will driving from Atlanta to Orlando. Then back again, then helping them get ready to move and with them during the move back.

I am getting the base for the carrier for the car.

What do I need to make the journey as comfortable for us as possible? ideas and suggestions are truly appreciated.
