My husband and our 2 children will be going to WDW in mid-may for 7 nights. I have really been torn about how much time to spend in each park. My original plan was to spend 2 days in MK and 1 day in AK,MGM, and EPCOT. This would allow us some down time to hang around the resort(POR) and maybe go to DTD to shop and look around. As I began planning more it just seems like there is not alot that my kids will like in EPCOT. I posted about this a few weeks ago and got overwhelming response from people saying that there kids did in fact love EPCOT. Yet, many tour books and people I have spoken with who recently went to WDW with small kids say they only spent half day in EPCOT. Also, wondering about MGM. While there seems to be several things there that my kids will really like I'm not sure if there is enough to keep them busy for an entire day. My kids do not like fast rides and barely want to go on the kiddie roller coaster at parks near our home. Also, is AK able to be done in one day? Advice or feedback please!!

:cool1: 22 days and counting!!!!!!

I found more to in Epcot than MGM. Most of the rides in Epcot are fine for young children. When we toured the World Showcase we stopped at each kidcot station and my DD, now 6, decorated her mask. She is dying to do this again! I have gone with DD when she was 2,3&5 and went with my DS when he was 1 1/2. We have always spent TONS of time in Epcot. Granted more time was spent in MK but Epcot was the runner up for sure!

I just went in January with my dh and children...the 2 youngest are 4 and 6. We spent alot of time at Epcot. There is alot to do there and you will most definitely need more than 1 day to see it all. The highlight of our whole trip was dinner at Japan. We had dinner at Teppyanki (sp?), which is like a Bennihana where they cook at your table. The chef was very entertaining! The children collected the stamps at all the kids' stations at each country. Your children will love Epcot. And I agree with the PP, there is more to do at Epcot with the young children than at MGM.

I don't think your responses on here will change much since last time. I have two DDs, ages 9 and 6, and we have gone to WDW five times in the last three years. Epcot is undoubtedly our second favorite park. We do enjoy MGM too, but Epcot wins out in our opinion. Our children are not bored there. But I suppose some of it can have to do with the kids involved. My girls have a huge curiosity about the world around them and are interested in the science elements of FW and the cultural elements of WS. In all, though, we LOVE Epcot and often go there twice on a trip.

Hi!

My boys are 4, 6 & 9  and there is so much to do at Epcot with the kids - I think most people believe that kids will not have much interest in what Epcot has to offer but we were happily surprised that there is so much to do and see there. Your kids will love it!

Have a great time!
