Traveling Turkeys 2010

Not much interest in the recipe exchange as part of the FE exchange. Maybe we'll forget about it this trip.

yes, let's skip it. I think we all have enough to do!;) If everyone was in, I would have done it, but makes life easier with one less thing to worry about;)

Have any of yall signed up for shore exchursions? The ones we wanted are booked so we may try to do them on our own. We wanted the St. John's hike.

Have read & seen many a video of those who decided to book outside on their own and being left by the boat. It happens all the time. Disney keeps in contact with their contractors and if there is a delay, they will wait if they know what is going on. Their contractors will call them if there is a problem and you are going to be late returning to the ship. Last year we got our times mixed up and almost missed the boat. THE MOST HORRIBLE feeling, let me tell you. It still makes me sick to my stomach! Just FYI, if you do, make sure you know the company is reputable & DEPENDABLE! :scared:

My husband and I want to renew our vows on this trip. Do any of you know any turkey travelers that can do this? We would only need a few minutes of someones time. Disney offers a vow renewal package, but we didn't want anything elaborate. We want something very informal. Just repeating vows!!!:flower3:

Updated the FE Delivery list with the latest room numbers. Looking forward to hearing from Teenas, Princess Kristin, and AMC3007. Dunleavy, I know you got your room assignment but I never got your email. Can you send it to me?

Thanks for all your hard work!

We leave on Saturday (doing Wonder prior to this cruise) and hoping the list is final before then.

How fun is that! Back to Back!

I've been checking out the weather, to get ready for warm/cold or wet/dry apparel. I sure hope not, but it looks like your Wonder cruise could be kind of wet for you.

Have you been on a rainy cruise before? With as many times as you have cruised you must have had a rainy day or two. What things are you planning if you have several rainy days? I know you have several kids listed for this cruise. Do the kids get bored during the rain? It seems several children's things are often planned for outdoors.

Does the pool close if its raining or only rain and thunder? Do they do more inside activity's? Would you recommend upgrading if we find out it's going to rain the entire time? We plan to use our room as just a place to sleep and shower. I currently have no plans to entertain there.

What do we pack if the rain continues? Rain boots & rain coats, decks of cards?

Sorry, I guess I asked lots of questions. I'm sure you have lots to do to ready.

:dance3:Welcome:dance3: This is only my second Disney Cruise.... and I loved my first one (Eastbound Panama Canal trip in 2008). I have cruised other lines since then but Disney is my favorite... See you on board.

You know airfare has dropped again you could always add that Wonder on too :)

I've did a few extra of each FE gift, hoping it will work out when we get the final numbers and rooms. If something changes after Saturday I'm kinda stuck.

We have cruised in all kinds of weather (I'm sure Michelle2 remembers the last day of our Med cruise lol. I think her ds was the one who took pictures of the water flowing down the steps of deck 3).

When it rains they do plan more indoor activities. The pools are open in the rain unless the weather becomes treacherous. Frequently you will see my insane family in the hot tubs in the rain.

If you can pack some ponchos in case it rains on port days, not a bad idea (Dollar Tree has the cheap throw away kind). We've never packed any other rain gear.

Personally I DONT go to the sail away party if it's raining and held indoors because the atrium lobby just gets too crowded.

There are always indoor activities going on in the kids spaces and we seriously have never lacked for something to do.

I think our cruise is close to full now so upgrades will be few if any although anything can happen and change that.

Especially if it's your first cruise all you need is a place to sleep you will be too busy exploring the ship!

Airfare has dropped again for you? Wow, not for us! Whenever I have checked my dates and others around them, they have all gone UP, way up. Our flight to Orlando on the 19th has almost tripled! Even on November 13th and our dates coming home all the rates have gone up....I am very happy we booked them when we did, but it makes it so we are totally locked in.

I would love to add on the Wonder before but can't pull the kids out of anymore school. :( I am worried about the week they will already miss, or else I probably would...well that and our airfare is already set too. :)

We do remember that weather....DS loved it!

Michelle,

Mine is locked in at a great price. We got 150 r/t which for us from Minneapolis is a bargain.

However, some of the flights have dropped, including flights other than the one I'm on for the 13th.

Eric and big girls are flying in EARLY on 18th. I know the prices coming from here were much much higher on the 19th.

That Wonder cruise is such a bargain though.
