Traveling from Tampa to Disneyworld

Hi there

This year 2016 I am going to USF in Tampa as part of a student exchange program with my university in Stirling, UK. Afterwards I am planning on going to Disneyworld for a few days either alone or with a few friends.
I have never driven in the USA and don't feel that comfortable doing it for the first time alone.

What is the best and most cost effective/cheap option to travel to Disney?

include a friend with a car or who can get a rental in the group!!!!!
