We are staying one night, pre-cruise, at BCV on a Halloween Party night. We arrive in Orlando at 11am and will take ME to BCV. We have Halloween Party tickets only (our annual passes have expired) but we know that we can get into the party as early at 4pm.

I am worried about traveling from BCV to MK for the party. I was thinking about trying to catch a bus at 3pm but maybe everyone else will be trying to catch a bus at that time too. I wish I had booked BLT. How is the bus situation? I don’t want to be stuck waiting for a bus for hours in long lines.

Also, how is the situation leaving the park? Maybe we would be better off leaving right after the second parade, or shortly after, to avoid crowds for the bus?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The bus there won't be bad - you may have to wait for one to show up - they come approximately every 20 minutes - and with the few seats, you may not sit. If either of these is a big deal - catch a cab.

Home is a different matter. Any time an event ends - like after the parade, there will be lines for buses. You are probably better off doing one more thing and THEN catching the bus than catching the bus straight after the parade - and if you stay until close then there will be lines for buses. Again, a cab is $20 - the easiest way to catch a cab is to catch the monorail to one of the resort hotels and have bell services bring you a cab.

The other post parade strategy is to watch it from as close to the Main Street train station as possible - and book out the door as the final float goes by. The bus stops will be EMPTY - if you can get there fast enough - and you'll be first in line - there are plenty of buses after the parade, Disney has figured out to send extra buses.

(We like to leave during parades - there is never any line for a bus if you leave during the parade).

We have never had any issues getting to/from the MK on MNSSHP nights. It was just like any other day.

As for leaving the party, the biggest mass-exits will be right after the parades and the fireworks. I would suggest giving it 30 minutes or so and then heading out.

I would try to stay as late as possible and head for the bus after midnight unless you don't want to stay up that late.
