I have a few logistical questions as I have no idea what to anticipate in our daily schedule (first timers). Our plan is to return to the resort in the early afternoon to swim and nap before heading out for dinner and evening in the parks. We will be at the Pop Century.

1) What time should we be back in the park for parades and fireworks?

2) How long does it take to bus from POP to the other resorts for dinners, such as Poly (Ohana), AKL (Boma), Wilderness Lodge (HDDR) (and then to the park).

I am trying to figure out what time to book our reservations in order to get there, have dinner and get to the park on time.

3) Can we take a monorail from the park to another resort that is not our own to have a meal?

Anything else?

Welcome!!!!

We have stayed at Pop for the last 2 years. Always take a break in the afternoon...our schedule usually looks something like this:

? Park - 9am-12pm
Pop - 1pm-4pm
ADR - 5-5:30pm
? Park - 7pm-close

Sometimes it might feel like a pain to go back for a rest/swim, etc. but we never fail to comment on how much nicer it is....especially as we go in Aug or Sept. and it is sooooo hot!!! You feel like a new person after a shower and a change of clothes....the nights are great.

We have never rented a car and have found that, generally, we don't have too much of a problem being on time for ADRs. We did take a cab to Poly from Pop once and from Wild. Lodge to Pop once. Sometimes the $20 (incl. tip) is worth it.....just less stressful.

Enjoy yourself and feel free to ask anything else!!! :)

Remember that there are no direct buses between resorts. To get from Pop to Animal Kingdom Lodge, for example, you would need to take a bus from Pop to one of the parks and then get on the bus to AKL. For any of the monorail resorts (Contemporary, Grand Flordian, Poly), you can take the bus from Pop to Magic Kingdom and then get on the resort loop monorail. Depending upon wait times for the buses, it could take 30 minutes to get to your ADRs or it could take an hour or more. Just make sure to leave plenty of time in case the buses are slow in picking you up. I actually like to get to the other resort early so we have time to explore the lobbies and gift shops.

is there a site to show the times between places? I've tried looking on all ears but I can't seem to find it...

AJColoradao...thanks so much for this link. It was fabulous to let me organize our day / meals!.
