FYI, went and checked Tugo's website and discovered that as of 30 November they have updated and expanded their emergency travel medical and travel cancelation/interruption coverages.

Emergency Medical Insurance for Canadians - TuGo provides COVID-19 coverage under our Emergency Medical Insurance plans for vaccinated Canadians, up to the policy limit. We now provide coverage to travellers regardless of travel advisory levels issued by the Canadian government. Our COVID-19 - Unvaccinated plan for unvaccinated Canadians (and those wanting extra quarantine benefits) also remains unchanged.
For travel within Canada, we still provide COVID-19 coverage regardless of vaccination status.
Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance – We now cover COVID-19 related sickness.
Do note for the trip cancellation & interruption insurance : Note: If you need to cancel because you lost your job or your flight's cancelled due to COVID-19 (which is considered a known circumstance for travel and therefore no longer considered sudden and unexpected), you won't be covered.
Also, some good news for cruisers !
Am I covered for COVID-19 during my upcoming cruise?
Yes, TuGo’s Emergency Medical Insurance policy will cover travellers regardless of travel advisory levels issued by the Canadian government.
I would expect to see some of the other insurances carriers may start making changes to their coverage too.
