Hi,

We are going to Disney Florida for the 1st time in March ( 2 adults, 2 kids )

Staying at the Disney All Star Sports Resort.

We will not be hiring a car and was looking for advice on the following questions.

I know some of these questions may seem obvious to some of you but I do not want to be stuck once I get there and would prefer to know beforehand.

How easy it to get transport from the hotel to Universal ? Sea World ?

How easy is it to get transport from Universal / Sea World back to the hotel ?

We were looking to go to ' Premium Outlets ' for a bit of shopping.

What would be the best way of doing this ? Is there buses ? taxis ? Is it easy to get transport back from the Outlet ?

Thanks in Advance !!!!

You will love staying in the All Star Sports
it is the first stop for the Disney buses
Sorry I can not asnwer your questions as we had a car when we were there

Have a great time
and don't forget to get the refillable mugs

Hi and welcome to the DIS.

Sorry, I can't help with the transport questions per se but have you thought about hiring a car for part of your hols ?

When we stayed at the ASMo (also 2 Ads & 2 kids) we hired a car for the 2nd week and this made travelling to all the places you mention so simple. It also meant we could take a break from Disney at any time we wanted (and you might want to eat elsewhere on the odd occasion).

There are local Dollar and Alamo pick-up points close to WDW.

If you have concerns about driving try not to; it's really simple.

The all stars are brilliant hotels and the buses are great. You can book a Mears minibus drop off and pick up to take you to Universal and Seaworld, it costs approx $15 pp return and they pick you up in the morning and take you there and then you ring them when you want to come home and they pick you up again. The hotel reception book it for you and its all very easy. :goodvibes

Hi
Congratulatins on booking your first holiday to the magical land.you will not want to go anywhere else.Im sure like the rest of us on here you will saving for the next trip.In answer to your question,I asked exactly the same when we stayed at pop centuary and the carribean beach last november last year.
If you want the cheaper option but it is more time consuming you can get a bus from your hotel to the ttc at magic kingdom and catch the lynx bus to seaworld.(im not sure of the number but I can let you know if you decide you want to go that route. The best option with 2 tired children at the end of a busy day is to get a cab.you don't need to book as they are always waiting outside the parks. We budgeted $30 each way and I think it was approx $25+tip(which I normally gave $2 depending on the driver.Play it by ear but plan the most expensive then if you decide to do the bus there and a taxi back you will save some money. There isn't a bus that goes direct to universal as far as i know and we paid a couple of dollars more for the taxi there.Have a fab time,iv not stayed at all stars yet but may do this year.

I don't think you need a car if you will mainly doing disney, Ive stayed onsite 4 times and have never had a car and have never missed one as the WDW transport is so good.

I've done the same way as Crabbie1, when staying on-site get the bus link to Magic kingdom, cross to the ticket and transportation centre (either by ferry or monorail) and catch the Lynx bus at $1.25 each to Seaworld.

the cab to premium outlets cost around $20 from downtown disney

Hi

Transport in WDW is very easy!

Regarding leaving WDW I did this via taxis which are always available at the hotel entrance, this can be costly but for me it was easier!

I didn't get a car whilst in WDW as we didn't leave it much and didn't like the idea of driving on the roads. I am not saying this is best for you or everyone, it was what was best for me and my DH. Though if you are comfortable driving abroad and think you may leave the WDW site alot then it maybe more economical to get car hire. There are always good offers with this so don't rule it out.

You will have a fab time, and I am sure you will be addicted to WDW and the DISboards very soon!!!
