So we've signed up to go on the Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour at the MK in August. Our tour begins at 8:00am. I was told we needed to be there no later than 7:45. To assure this, we would need to leave the Poly by 7:15. It appears that neither the boats nor monorail will be running that early. Does anyone know how we can get over there?

Monorail. And if the monorail happens to not be running, they'll have buses

Are you sure? We were told it didn't start running until 7:45

The resort monorail line routinely has it's first run at 7:00...not sure why anyone would tell you 7:45. Exactly who told you this? Probably the person you booked the trip with? I've been told the same thing by Disney CMs on the phone...drives me nuts.
If, and that's a pretty big if, there wasn't a boat running or the monorail was down for some reason, they would be running buses. Worst case scenario would be to take a cab to the CR and then walk over to the MK. But, I just can't imagine needing to do that.

I would check the monorail schedule as it gets closer. The resort monorail doesn't open until 8:30am, due to recent refurbs, on many days. They would have buses running from Poly though, if the monorail is not starting earlier. I don't know if the monorail would even start early enough for you though on a normal day. Buses, if running, used to start at 6:30am; however, a recent rumor says they are starting until 7am. You might consider Uber or a cab.

EDIT: Here's a link to the latest schedule that I have seen; however, the schedule doesn't say what the normal operating time is.

You can't take Uber or a Cab to the MK gates.

You can take one to the Contemporary Resort and walk to MK from there.

The Resort Monorail starts at 7:00 AM EXCEPT Mondays and Tuesdays when it starts at 8:30 AM due to the automation project.

That's true, but you can get transportation at the TTC or walk from Contemporary, like you said. They could just walk to the TTC if they are at Poly. Still don't know what would be running that early, especially at the TTC.

I just did the marcelene tour two weeks ago and I arrived around 7:30 from OKW, but I observed the resort monorail was operating at that hour of the day. Also it was not an EMH day so the park was opening at 9am.

Seriously, there will be transportation from the Polynesian to the MK. If the monorail isn't operating on its regular schedule, and the ferry/little boats aren't running yet, Disney will have buses running.
If you're just not comfortable with that, you can get a cab. Take it to the CR, and then walk over to the MK, about 8 mins.

Just curious where you got this. I don't think I have ever seen anything with the monorail times. I usually just see the park times guides.

That particular Times Guide is only available at the WDW Resorts.

Guests get one in their "welcome packet" and they are available in the Resort lobbies.

I haven't had to checkin in person in a while. I will have to look in the room packet or stop by the lobby in the future. Thanks
