I am sure this has been asked, but in 17 short days my husband and I will be off to Disneyland for the first time. I am just wondering what is the best way to get from LAX to Disneyland? What do you recommend?
I am pretty sure, we don't want the hassel of renting a car. It would be nice, but I think we were hoping to take in the sites instead of watching the road.
Lots of shuttles that will take you to DL hotels for a very reasonable price. If I remember right its only about a 30-40 ride. We normally fly into LAX and shuttle it because its pretty easy and alot of times the flights seem to be cheaper.
Shuttles, buses, and taxi's are all right out the door waiting for you. You can make reservations in advance if you want - Guest Services will tell you which ones they recommend. Still, even with a toddler, we've never made reservations and never had a wait.
Roundtrip - the DL express would only cost $48 total if you use the $5 coupon for each traveler. I believe I got it from Mousesavers.com or here. My husband paid $19 one way to LAX but if you get RT its $29 - $5 as he had to leave earlier than our group. If you don't find the coupon let me know. I'll have a look for it.
If you're not going on a budget - get a private Towncar. I think its $90 round trip and you don't have to wait for the bus to make stops. We used a limo service called Crystal Limos and they were very prompt. Picked us up outside of baggage claim and delivered us straight to our doorstep. There are many others that you could use as well so try to find the best deal. $85-$100 RT + tip. Don't forget to have them email you the confirmation and total price so there are no surprises when you arrive. Some companies have been known to charge 20% gratuity. IMO - I should be the one to judge the service, not the provider.
