Budget rental and code ?

So I booked a car at Budget using a code and it's saying to be prepared to show employee info. I have never seen this before? Now I am concerned.

A code for the discount? I would not worry about it. If you can go on the Budget website and pull up your reservation you should be good to go. I always put my reservation info in www.autoslash.com and try and get a better rate that way. I tell Autoslash what FF programs, big box retailers, etc. I am associated with and it sends me an email if it finds a better rate. I often have no idea what discounts it ended up using and I've never had any problems.

And do you qualify to use the code? Sounds like it might be for employees of a particular business. I can see possibly being asked to show proof that you are such an employee.

This was the standard Mousesavers M.O. and the same thing happened a few years back. Mousesavers entered a corporate agreement with one of the rental car companies, then the rental car companies discovered they were giving out the code and demanded proof of employment. I have to do the same thing when I use my company's corporate booking code with a specific agency.
