Transportation Question

Early December 2007 (1st or 2nd week) will be our first on-site trip.We are staying for about 4 days and are staying onsite for two reasons...EMH and just for the experience since we've never done it. We always drive to the parks early in the morning and stay until closing and very rarely have we park hopped. Since we are staying onsite, i'm thinking we might take advantage of the transportation.....Ideally, I would like to stay at the Contemporary or Poly, but with 5 people, i think I want two bathrooms so will probably end up at one of the values....I'm also thinking we might want to do more park hopping to concentrate on the rides we really care about.

Finally, my question.....what can I expect with the buses to the value resorts? WIll there be long waits and people pushing to get on the bus? How long is the ride door to door from the resot to each park? I'm traveling with a 13, 11 and 6 yo. Is the monorail a good reason to stay at the Contemporary or Poly? (I really like the idea of walking to MK from the Contemporary and not having to wait for any transportation!!)

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

I just checked out the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World from the library, and it has a list of the best/worst case scenario times from resort to each park both driving yourself and using the bus system. You might want to take a look at that.

We've stayed at each of the All-Stars. The bus system is no worse at them than anywhere else we've encountered...although Movies and Sports is a little better just because Music is a larger resort. We haven't done Pop but have heard good things about it also. We are a family of 5 too. Most years we stayed in two rooms(also for the bathroom issues) but last year we stayed at POR. It's a nice resort but it depends on which building you're in because it is very large. This year we keep saying that we're going to try the Contempory or the Poly but that will depend on the AP discount. It would be nice to be able to walk to the MK!
