Transportation in Nassau

We will be going on our first cruise on the May 28 Wonder. Me 29, DW 28, DS 7, DS 2. I have planned only one excursion, the Dolphin Encounter, the rest of the time I want to enjoy all the boat has to offer. Anyway I was wanting to know the best way to get to the
paradice island ferry, I booked the excursion myself direct with Dolphin Encounters, thanks, Can't wait
I am a teacher so I really, really need this Cruise

Once you get off the ship and go into the exit building, there will be a desk where you can purchase water taxi tickets. They will tell you where to catch them, I think they leave about every 45 minutes. Any other questions, just ask me.

I've heard bad things about the water taxi. I don't think DCL even works with them anymore. I've seen mixed reviews but what I've heard was enough to scare me away. (loading boats too full, going too fast, not picking you back up, etc)

I don't know how far away it is to where you are going but there are regular taxis by the "boat-load" right behind Festival Palace, which is the building you enter first.

If it is possible to take a regular taxi to your meeting place that would be your best bet, not those water taxis. Even the local tour guides tell you not to take the water taxis..to take a regular taxi.

We just used this type of service last fall and had no problem what so ever. You can take a regular taxi but it costs a little more and is not as scenic.
