I'm not sure the best place to post this but here goes. My family will be there for 10 days next month. We have been many times before and want to make this a more leisurely vacation and do some other things since we have 10 days. My question is this: we will not have a rental car but would like to visit Sea World and Universal while we are there. How could we get there. Has anyone else ever combined WDW with other area attractions? thanks for the help.

Hello!

We just came back from 14 nights in WDW, we also visited Universal, IOA, and Sea World.

We used a Mears cab (bell services will order this for you if you are staying within the WDW resort), and it cost around $40 including tip to get to IOA/Universal, and $30 to Sea World. You can also use the shuttle service from your hotel, but you are restricted with times, for around $8 per person. Oh, and if you need car seats, the taxi companies provide you with them - we needed three, one booster, one infant, and one toddler, and never had any problems!

What's 'Universal'???? :confused3 Can't say I've ever heard of it!! :guilty:

Hey "flortlebap" - what did you think of the Dark Side? (That infamous "U" word!)! Next October (2007), we also will visit the Dark Side (staying on Disney property and just taking a side trip) -- yes I know there is a whole forum on it but just want quick thought on it.

Yes, I know I am hijacking the thread but I'm sure "disfam61" wouldn't mind knowing too. :)

For our trip to Universal a week from today, we are using a towncar service...should be about $70 r/t for 4 of us, then the tip. We can tell them when to pick us up. Or you can use a cab for a bit less.
To SeaWorld, we have used the Lynx bus system from TTC. If you go to www.golynx.com you will find a schedule. The bus leaves from the TTC and then the first stop is at SeaWorld. You should let the driver know when you board the bus that you want to get off at SeaWorld, just to be on the safe side. The cost is about $1.50 pp, each way. The bus will drop you off at the parking lot entrance. For the ride back, you just cross back over the parking lot, cross the street and wait at the Lynx bus stop.
This is the bus system that the locals all use. When we took it to SW a few years ago, we rode with a bunch of CMs and housekeeping staff. It was safe, clean, quick and inexpensive. I believe it's route 50 (bus 50).
