I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but I'm wondering what is the best transportation from Sanford Airport to Universal Studios without renting a car? Thanks!

We usually rent a car from Sanford as it is about 50mins away from WDW. The cost of a towncar is comparable to a rental (~$180). Since Universal is closer to Sanford than WDW, the price for a towncar may be lower. Checking with FL Tours would be a good start. I'm not sure Sanford does enough volume for Mears to provide vans/motorcoaches for ~$28 per adult as it does between MCO and WDW.

Hoping my bump gets a more definitive answer for you!:Pinkbounc

Thanks, MulanMom! I am from the Phillipsburg-area. We're practically neighbors.

I was checking flights from Allentown, and SE Airlines seems to be cheapest, but was wondering about the transportation possibilities since I'd never flown into Sanford before.

Thanks again.:)

Hi --

I'm flying into Sanford in August and after much research, opted to rent a car and drop it off the next day at the Car Care Center in Disney. using my Emerald Club w/National, I was able to get a no drop fee. I'll pick the car back up and drop it off at Sanford on the day of my return.

It's a bit of a hassle but it saves me more than $100. I found towncar prices from Sanford to be a bit high (I also have a family of 5, so we need a limo or van, not a towncar). This gives me some flexibility. I wish I could afford to keep the car for the week, but I could not get anything less than $340 or so (including taxes and fees) and I don't think I would use it that much.

Good luck!

THere is also a van/bus place CoachUSA at Sanford airport. I would not recommend them unless you are really stuck. We used them to get from SFB to WDW only ONCE and chose to rent a car for the way back.

CoachUSA was unprofessional and made us wait until they had enough people to fill a van... well over an hour before we set off for WDW, the driver drove like a maniac and complained the entire time.

Rent a car, it is a really easy 50 minute drive to WDW. It ended up being cheaper to rent a car than pay the CoachUSA fare for 2 adults.
