Transportation from Anaheim train station

We're visiting Disneyland for the first time in August. I do NOT want to drive in the LA/Anaheim area so we're taking the train from Santa Barbara to LA, and after spending the weekend in LA, taking the train to Anaheim Sunday evening.

We're staying at the Embassy Suites. What's the best way to get there from the Amtrak station? There are 4 of us. I was thinking of getting a cab as I don't want to be lugging our baggage around on a bus.

Any thoughts?

I went by train one time. I had planned to catch a bus from the train station to the hotel. I was so tired after being on the train, that I just paid $10 plus a tip to a taxi driver for the few mile ride. Was worth it.

I've taken a taxi several times after arriving on the train and it's easy and worth it. There have been cabs waiting everytime I've used them, but they have a phone that calls for a taxi inside the train station.

We did a cab for a family of 4 from the Amtrak station to DLH. It was in the 10 to $15 range. And there was one waiting. Worked out fine.

Your options are pretty much ART for $4 per person or a cab. When I took a cab from the Anaheim Marriott to Amtrak it was $8 plus tip (there was no traffic and we got almost all green lights).

I've been scouring the internet for other ideas to get from Amtrak to the Grand Californian for my next trip since I'm going to be arriving on June 17th when the entire DLR resort is going to be gridlocked, but haven't come up with any better options so I guess I'm going to have to ask the taxi driver to take the back roads and hope s/he can keep it under $20 ...

We arrived by train one time on the morning of the 1/2 marathon (in Fullerton). It was the worst traffic zoo I ever saw. We were staying at the Grand and the roads were closed because of the marathons. Police would direct us one way, CMs another, we went through parking areas, back streets and all over for 45 minutes. Bottom line..we couldn't get there..no way...we were finally directed to the DLH parking entrance and dragged our luggage, pillows, etc all the way through Downtown Disney (a bunch of marathoners were finishing so we got to wave them on) to get to the hotel. Lesson learned to never, ever, arrive on a marathon day again..so..it will be jam packed, but I bet you'll at least get to be be dropped off at some point. BTW..the normally 20.00 taxi ride came in at over $45 but the very nice driver only charged us what it should have cost(big tip for his patience and determination).

It shouldn't be a problem since you'll probably be sitting more than moving But it really shouldn't run you more than $10-12 from Anahiem station

You can ask. I worked out a flat rate of $10 from Amtrak to DLH. He ran the meter just to show me, and it was $13 with a hefty red light and a u-turn.
