Where do the boats go and it what order. I know we took one, sorry can't remember the color to MK. I don't remember it stopping anywhere to or from there. Does the other go to the Contemporary?

There are two boats. There is a large boat (and maybe a small launch) that goes directly to the Magic Kingdom and back.

There is a small launch that makes a circle between Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, and Ft. Wilderness.

And remember at MK to take the direct back to FW, the dock is directly center of the gates, use the que to the right.

Thanks. We have Chef Mickey reservations at 6:25pm, how early do you think we need to leave. It shouldn't be a far trip just wondering how often that boat comes and goes?

i would get at the dock about 45 minutes early and take the small boat to the CR, that way, if you have extra time, you can take in the sites at CR

don't forget they tell you to be at restaurant 15 minutes before ressie also.

30 minutes if you hit the bus and boat at the right times. If you just miss the last bus/boat it could be an hour.

BAY LAKE & SEVEN SEAS LAGOON RESORT BOATS to/from WL-FW-CR-MK:

Wilderness Lodge, Magic Kingdom: (RED FLAG)
One MOTOR LAUNCH run each day at 0830-hrs (0730-hrs for EMH) and terminate operations about
one hour after the MK closes. These boats run only between MK-WL-FW.
.
Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Magic Kingdom: (GREEN FLAG)
One MOTOR CRUISER and one MOTOR LAUNCH runs each from 0830-hrs (0730-hrs for EMH) until about
one hour after the MK closes. These boats run only between the MK and the FW.
.
Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary:
(BLUE FLAG)
Two MOTOR LAUNCH run at 0645-hrs daily. Both run clockwise (FW>WL>CR>FW) until about 1500-hrs
and then reverse direction (CR>WL>FW>CR) at 1500-hrs. Launches terminate at 2330-hrs.
.
FW-WL-CR, Polynesian, Grand Floridian:
(GOLD FLAG)
If you want to go to the GF/Poly from the WL, CR or FW by boat, you will have to go to the MK
and then get the Gold flag MOTOR LAUNCH. In addition, there is no boat that goes directly from
the CR to the MK, GF or Poly. Additional boats may be added to the Gold, Green, Red and Blue
routes during periods of exceptionally high demand, like at heavy MK closings, to alleviate guest
lines at the docks.
.
Rentals:
The rental boats at various marinas include pontoons, individual watercraft, and sailboats. Only
the pontoons have ready access for chairs and ECV's without collapsing or man-handling.
.
Strollers/Wheelchairs, ECV's:

For all MOTOR LAUNCHES, strollers must be folded prior to boarding and ECVs cannot be accommodated
on MOTOR LAUNCHES under any circumstances. MOTOR CRUISERS do accommodate ECV's unless the lake
water level is too low. Additionally, all MOTOR LAUNCHES require guests to step down into the boat.

Is this updated info? I thought the Blue boats ran in opposite directions.

Also, on the Red & Green, your titles don't match your descriptions -- see bolded text.

1) Blue Boats change direction,
. . . based upon time of day
. . . WL folks were complaining that they paid more, so should have better/quicker boat service to get to CR/MK (and reverse)
. . . thus, based upon going/coming Rush Hours, they get some priority
2) As for RED/GREEN descriptions, I simply did a cut-and-paste from Internal Docs
. . . WDW describes the routes, so I simply follow along
. . . if I changed and someone saw the saw routes elsewhere, it would be even more confusing.

But, thanks for noticing and posting.

May be a silly question- but am I right in thinking that manual wheelchairs are allowed on the motor launches if they are folded up?

Those little launches are scary though if the person in the wheelchair isn't too steady. You have a narrow stairway, down two stairs, and the boat is moving (not much, but still..). Just make sure you're confident that the person can handle that movement down and then back up again. I have bad knees and the stairs up are a little uncomfortable for me.

That's what I remember. And the guest needs to be able to transfer in and out of the boat.

Hmmm.... I guess we will have to see then. Would we be able to do a "test run" on the boat on arrival day- in other words, would they let us board the boat but then stay on and come directly back to FW? Or even see if he can get on but then get right back off again? Or would that be super obnoxious...

Certainly depends on how busy it is. Nothing is ever "super obnoxious" when it's done for a noble purpose, and not just to be a goofball lol.

1) Once you get on the boat, you can ride as long as you wish.
2) You keep riding loop after loop.
3) Every now-and-then, MrsRustyScupper and I do this.
. . . can get out of the heat (on the enclosed launches)
. . . can people-watch
. . . can play "knee-zies"

Well then, "knee-zies". Must try that next time :teeth:
