transportation after Illuminations Cruise

I will be going on an Illuminations Cruise, while I am at the CSR. I know that it won't be back until after Epcot and MGM are closed, so that I can't use the buses from those parks.

What will be the best way to get back to my hotel after the cruise is over?

The boat doesn't keep crusing around the lake after Illuminations. It just goes back and drops off its passengers.

What time is the last fantasmic at MGM that night?

Busses run until all guests have left the park.

You have two good options.

Have the Illuminations cruise captain drop you off at the Epcot International Gateway dock where the Friendship boats load/unload. Walk through Epcot (yes you can) to the busses.

Since walking through Epcot is a long walk, depending on the driver (and a good tip), he may drop you off at MGM where it is a short walk to the busses.

We did the cruise last month. It was terrific. We asked to be let out at the Intl. Gateway. No problem. Then we just walked back through Epcot. We were at the Polynesian so we caught the monorail but there were plenty (more than I thought there would be!) of people getting on the buses. I would think that you could take a friendship boat from the marina your cruise uses and go over to MGM and grab a bus there. We just liked the walk thru Epcot.
