Transfers

Okay,

I looked through all my literature, but I cannot find an information that can tell me exactly HOW a transfer works. I am fairly new to DVC, but I need to buy/transfer points, and I am not quite sure how it works.

Is it just like renting? I rented for a couple years before I became a member, so at least I know how renting works.

A quick overveiw would be appreciated.

You are allowed one transfer in or one transfer out of your account per year. You'll need to find another member to be willing to transfer points into your account. Technically, there is no compensation for transferred points according to the Public Offering Statement.

If you need to make your reservation before the 7 month time frame, you'll need a member with the same home resort as you. Transferred points retain their resort and use year. Transferred points must be current year points and cannot be banked points.
