Transferring points question.

Can I bank points that have been transferred to me by another DVC member?

Can banked DVC points be transferred?

Banked points cannot be transferred. You also cannot transfer points that have been borrowed.

But you can bank current UY points that have been transferred to you. Last year, I transferred my 2019 and 2020 AKV points from one of my memberships to my other and then banked the 2019 points at the same time to use for my Sept/Oct trip this year.

Yes. When getting the points, you just want to make sure they work for the trip you want without needing to borrow.

Say I had June 2022 points transferred into my Dec UY to use for a May 2022 trip. This would not work because in order to use them, I’d have to borrow them back since a May 2022 trip is in a June 2021 UY.

Points transferred retain their own resort and UY and rules.
