Transferring OBB to a different cruise

So I'm currently booked as a solo passenger on a SWDAS cruise for next spring. I used my OBB discount to save 10%. I just saw it went to VGT, at a rate that is even lower than my discounted rate! Pretty surprising, but I'll take it! It's before my PIF day, so I won't incur cancellation fees. And I don't mind not picking my room, as I've never had a veranda or been on the larger ships, so I won't know what I'm missing from being in a different room!

My family is also taking an Alaska cruise in May. In one room it will be me, my sister, and her boyfriend. I checked and while there has been some small increase in rates, it's more than covered by the discount. I'm just confirming that the discount would cover the entire room, including the two people who weren't on the original discounted booking?

And this would work:
1) Cancel the previous Alaska booking.
2) Have TA change my OBB discounted rate from the SWDAS to a new Alaska booking.
3) Book the VGT SWDAS rate.

Am I correct that I can't be on two bookings for the same cruise at once, so I would need to change the existing SWDAS before booking the VGT one and also cancel the previous Alaska one before rebooking? Anything else I'm missing? This is my first time dealing with OBB discounts.

If you're working with a TA, they will know how best to make it work. First, (from what I've heard here), don't use the word cancel, just that you want to change your SWDAS booking to the Alaska booking. Then, you want to book the VGT SWDAS cruise anew. You don't want them cancelling your OBB when you really just wanted to move it to another sailing.

Be careful getting a GT room on the Fantasy. Your room will probably be aft, and the Fantasy (though not the Dream) has an off & on problem with severe vibration in the aft, due to some mechanical issue.
