Disney will transfer luggage between any of their hotels/resorts. We've done it many times with no problems.

Will the bell person pick up your luggage in your room. Will that be OK if it is a value to DVC transfer. Can you leave the luggage in the room, call bell services and leave a tip or do you have to stay with the luggage to get a receipt?

Stay with the luggage and get a receipt. Then give your tip. When you call to get your luggage transferred they are up to your room within 10-15 minutes. Very fast!
