Transferring banked points to myself?

I have 67 Sep UY points coming this Sep. 17 Of them are banked from 2021. I want to use them for a June 2023 trip combined with my June UY contracts.
Can I transfer all 67 of them to my June UY membership for that?
(I know you can't transfer banked points to someone else, but I heard that if you are transferring between your own memberships that they will do that.)

From my understanding, no. Only current UY points can be transferred even between your own memberships. The exception that’s allowed is that more than one transfer is allowed per UY if it is between your own memberships. So you can transfer between your memberships as well as transfer in/out from another member.

They might. They did for me. They transferred 5 banked points from my Dec to Aug UY to be used in a Sept reservation I had booked on my Aug UY.

I’m generally a rule follower so it was never a thought in my mind to ask for exceptions but since you mentioned this, I thought sure, why not.

I have 2 points in holding in my June membership, but an upcoming trip booked using points in my April membership. The holding points were from a renter who needed some last minute changes to her reservation back in January due to her daughter testing positive for Covid. So I called and asked. Not only did they take the points out of holding, they offered to either bank them late (since they are technically still current UY points) or transfer them to my other membership.

I was pretty resigned to just losing those points so I’m thrilled! Not only that but I had no wait on the phone lines to get through! Thanks @Sandisw !

It doesn't hurt to ask, that's for sure!!! But anything a CM do for you is an exception, and not the norm, can't be expected to be repeatable even if you received pixie dust before. Worse case, book as much as you can in 2 separate reservations in same unit type, and tried to get the different reservations linked so you don't have to change rooms.

Yeah! And when they did it for me, it was offered. I didn’t not ask. The CM just said I can move those for you and when I reminded her they were banked, she said they can now do that sometimes. So, sure enough, it was done,

It does seem like they are making a few more exceptions with transfers between memberships for the same owners!

When I had points from a new contract load (beginning of the year) I called to transfer points all to my main membership. I insisted that they do the transfer and then bank so that there wouldn't be any issues. The CM told me that it didn't matter because they can transfer banked points between memberships with the same owner. My other membership even has an additional owner it.

Technically couldn't I transfer sep 2021 points now and then bank them before April is over?
(If that's the case, transferring them when they're already banked is just a technical difference anyway)

Yes, but the rules have always been that points in banked or borrowed status can not be transferred.

So, it is a nice benefit to have for owners with multiple memberships. In my case, the points had been banked from last year and only became freed up when I added on VGF points…so it was a nice bonus,

It sounds like they have amended the rules for owners who have more than one membership.

That was what I was referring to since prior to this year, it’s been a hard no.

Update - I was able to transfer all the points, banked Sep UY21 and Sep UY22. It just took a few minutes longer to transfer since they do it as two separate transactions.
