Transfer question - different use year/home resort

I have a December use year Polynesian contract. I need an additional 113 points to book a two bedroom villa at Aulani. I found someone selling 150 Saratoga Springs points, October use year. If I go ahead with this transfer:

(1) Will I be able to see the points when I pull up my Polynesian contract online? I saw an old article online that said some people are not able to see transferred points if it is a different use year/resort, so they have to call member services to make any reservations.

(2) I only need 113 additional points when making my reservation, so there will be 37 points leftover. Will I be able to choose to keep 37 Polynesian points over 37 Saratoga Springs points? In other words, can I choose which points to use?

1. You see transferred points only when you make a reservation. You can make the reservation with transferred points online without calling.

2. Yes. When you make the reservation, you pick which contract to pull points from first.

Just make sure the transferred points temporary contract is checked first so it uses all those up before the Poly.

Perhaps just an IT glitch for me but I transferred in Beach Club points and was not able to make a reservation online. I had to call MS to make the booking. Hopefully you won't have this same issue.

Were you trying to book more than 7 months out with them? That is when they don't work online. Within 7 months, it doesn't seem to be an issue. I just modified and changed a trip using my 3 banked transferred points yesterday and had no trouble using them.

Yes, at 11 months. Didn't know I could self-serve at 7 month. Learned something new today, thank you Sandi!
