Transfer points?

How do you go about transfering points with someone else. I see the board for trading and selling... but how would you go about transfering the points to another person?

Just did this, it only takes a call to MS. In my case, the member who rec'd the points called MS to authorize the transfer into their account (that way I didn't have their member number), and had the MS person call me to verify and they gave us a transfer number. Hope this helps.

You just call MS and give them the other member's ID, name,etc, and tell them the numbe of pts you are transfering. Sometimes they ask for a fax(giving permission) for the transfer.

But remember to check with MS and verify if you will be allowed to transfer in(same year), in case of need, if you are tranfering out now. This has been known to change with MS.

Just completed a transaction. Both the receiver and sender contact MS. In my case I called MS authorized the transfer of points, which must be done in writing to the other member. In my case the written authorization was done via fax.

The receiver of the points contacts MS to indicate they are receiving the points.

I would recommend that no one should receive your membership number. MS does take precautions as we know to ensure that they are speaking to the appropriate party.
