Transfer points between contracts. Question

Hello! My sister has 9 points left in her account before the end of her use year in June. She doesn't believe she will be able to use those points, is past banking and wants to give them to me. She has SSR use year JUNE and I have BLT use year April. So her points are 2021 and so if she transfers them to my I have to use them by HER use year of June correct? Because we have a April trip using our 2022 points and I just want to make sure if she transfers to me that I can call MS and ask to use her 2021 points on my April 2022 trip because her points don't expire till may 31 2022. RIGHT. Thanks!

Her points do not expire until the night of 5/31/22. They can be transferred as long as they are 2021 points and not points that were banked from 2020 into 2021, or borrowed from 2022 into 2021.

You may or may not be able to use them to replace your points which were used for the April 2022 trip. Was the reservation made during the 11-month home resort booking window, or at 7 months when all points are equal? If the reservation was made for BLT (your home resort) during the 11-7 month booking window, you cannot reallocate her SSR points to it unless the exact same room is still available for any of your nights.

She has not yet missed the deadline to bank June 2021 points. It’s January 31st.

Those points can be used for an April 2022 trip because that would still be in her June 2021 UY and that is the UY of those points.

The issue is home resort, You can not use SSR for nights booked prior to 7 months out, if you used home resort advantage, then it won’t work.

As already mentioned, these can not be banked 2020 or borrowed 2022.

Ok great. I thought she had missed banking but she didn’t!! And yes while this is at BLT I did just book a 1 bedroom that came up. But it’s not necessary as I’ll tell her to bank those points for next year!!! Thank you all!! This was very helpful information!!
