We extended our vacation by two nights (YAY! :cool1: ) but we had to split resorts in order to do that. So now were staying at ASSp for the first two nights and the Dolphin for the remaining seven. Question is, do I have to supply my own form of transportation from one resort to the other? :confused3 Than seems like a real pain! Has anyone gotten help from Disney when transferring between resorts?

We were thinking about loading all our luggage onto the Disney Transportation busses and bus hopping till we got to Dolphin... Anythign to save 50 bucks! :rotfl: ... Has anyone done this? Any other suggestions??

Disney will transfer your luggage for you. Just give Luggage Assistance a call the night before to schedule a pick up. Since you're at a value, you do not need to be in the room for them to pick up the bags. Just leave them in the room, and you can head off to the parks for the day. Luggage will get transferred between 1-3pm that day. And then when you're ready to check in, head over to the Dolphin, and get your room, and bell services will have your luggage.

Tyler there have been posts both ways on this question. Since Dolphin is not a Disney owned hotel some guests have posted being told they're on their own and others have had no problems having guest services move their luggage.

Is luggage transfer to S/D officially allowed or is it a courtesy that's generally extended to guests that ask?

When I was at Pop, we had no problems going to the Swan/Dolphin. In turn, they transferred to us, as well. A lot of Pop's opening team came from the All-Stars, so I'm willing to bet that the All-Stars would have no problems going to the S/D.

This is another reason why I always suggest calling the night before to arrange it. This way, if there are any surprises, one can deal with it. In that case, I'd recommend a quick taxi.
