Transfer bus from Disney - can you stay a night before and visit KSC?

I will be booking a cruise for 2021 but staying at WDW to celebrate the 50th prior to the cruise.

My partner and I are interested in going to Kennedy Space Centre for the day, the day before the cruise. Could we use Disney Cruise line transportation to take us to the Port, then we get an uber to KSC and afterwards an uber to a hotel close to the port for our sailaway the following day?

Or would you recommend something different? A day excursion tour from WDW and just stay in the area once in Cape Canaveral?

No. DCL busses are linked to your cruise reservation and can only be used on the day your cruise departs. It is not a regular bus line that runs continuously.

If you really wish to visit KSC, I would rent a car at WDW and return it in PC the day of the cruise, with a hotel stay in PC or Titusville on KSC day.Using a car share service or a combination of a limo and Uber to manage all the transfers will end up costing much more. KSC is quite a way from PC.

I would not make a day trip from WDW to KSC knowing you need to go back to PC the next day. That’s 1.5 hours of driving on your KSC day, half of which you’ll need to repeat the next day.
