Trans-Siberian Orchestra

About the intermission missing. I noticed in Pittsburgh that our intermission disappeared when they added 2 shows. This was our 5th year attending and when we first saw TSO in Pittsburgh, they were in a much smaller venue and we even waited to meet members of the group afterward and have them sign things and pose for pictures. I did appreciate the intermission and one-on-one contact when they were not as popular, but I understand they time-limitations and with increased popularity, and their adding another show in the same day. I'm happy for their success and always spread the word of their brilliance, but I do sort of mourn the days of smaller venues, intermissions, long impromtu talking from Chris and meeting the group afterward. :(

yeah they just started doing really big venues in the past 2 years or so, haven't they??

although at the show last year they did a meet and greet. it was kinda nice. there was a bass player that kept talking to me while i was in line and even gave me his website address, course DF wasn't too happy about that lol. but they were cool, none the less.

gotta share-last night our kids had their 'holiday show' at school. as is normal for these kinds of things at times the p.a. system was turned up too loud for the venue and people were overwhelmed. during one song the lights were lowered and the kids pulled out flashlights that they were supposed to shine only on the ceiling, but of course with as young as kindergarteners participating a good many lights got shined out and into the eyes of the audience. i turned to dh and said 'somehow this show reminds me of something-OH YEAH, TRANSIBERIAN ORCHESTRA' :rotfl2: . dh nearly fell off his chair.

i just saw the show last night for the second year in a row and it was still amazing. i love that show. i like the second half a bit better tho. i'm strange, everyone likes the first half lol.

although, 2 1/2 hours without an intermission is a bit much. i hope they try and do something about that soon.

I've always enjoyed the second half of the show more than the first half too. It's more intense and I like the intensity and lights and fire. lol

oh good, someone else agrees! lol. everyone's always about "omg the Christmas stuff!" and i like the more intense stuff also.:woohoo:

I...uh...forgot to post my experience at the concert. (I went Dec.16)It was WONDERFUL! My friend and I had really good seats. They did the same story they told last year, but it was different music. The only part I didn't like was when the Yes group leader came out and started to sing. It was too loud for me..or at least it sounded louder than TSO. They played Christmas Canyon Rock, one of my favorite songs, and Wizards in Winter. It was incredible and hope to go again next year.
