tranferring luggage

I will be staying at AS Movies one night in Aug. The next morning I am moving to the Yacht Club. I plan to get to the Yacht Club early to pick up my tickets and head off to Epcot for awhile.
What exactly do you do to transfer luggage? And how long does it take?

I NEED to have the luggage no later than 3 PM that day. Will it be gaurenteed to be there by then? Do they deliver it to your room, or do you need to pick it up?
If I can't get it by 3, then I will most likely take a taxi over in the morning and take the luggage my self, but I always like to save a few dollars when I can and spend that on Disney treasures!

It is not guaranteed that your luggage will become available by 3 pm. You will need to be in the room if you elect to have it delivered.

You can take a day bag over with you to YC with the things you will with you by 3 p.m., and then have them deliver the rest of the baggage over to YC. They can deliver it when it is available and you are back in the room. You can leave the day bag with guest services while you go off to the parks.

Or you can take everything over by taxi.

You can also pick up your tickets up to three days early at any guest relations in the parks. Then when you check in the YC for your package, they can transfer your tickets over to your KTTW card at the concierge desk.

If you have to have your luggage by a specific time, take a taxi and check your luggage yourself at Bell Services.

Although it may very well be there if you have it transferred by 3, there is no guarantee.

I have transferred my luggage, between various resorts, about 5 times so far. Not once have I had my bags at the new resort before 4:30. And, I hand them over before 7:30am!!! More often than not, the bags arrive past 5pm.

If you need those bags, I would just take a cab over to YC with the bags. If your room isn't ready, you can always access the bags at Bell Services during the day.

Thanks. I can't get these tickets early, unforutnately. They are through the Agent education program, so they are for those dates only. Wish I could and I would add a day to them then!
I think taxi wil lbe the best way then. I'll have to go look and see if I can estiamte a cost for that then.

We moved from POR to ASSp and our luggage was there when we checked in a few hours later (around 2pm). We stayed at the sport for 2 nites and then moved again to WL. WELL, the person who is supposed to transfer the bags at the ASSp didn't show up for work that day
WL had to send someone to pick up our bags. We didn't get them until after 9pm. We had done online check in so we arrived at WL around 5pm and ended up sitting in our room for the rest of the night (OK we did visit the bar too) because the afternoon was warm but the evening was COLD. DDIL had on a tank top and would have froze! I started getting a sore throat and had to pay $6 for 12 tylenol in the gift shop! Although we have moved many other times without any issues if you want your bags by a specific time, I would take the taxi and take your bags with you.
