I just don't understand the people around here who will jump on someone for offering info,

Rather similar to someone jumping on a poster about getting a trampoline for their kids, is it not?

WHOA!! What hostility!!! Temper, temper, my dear.
Have a WONDERFUL weekend, disneydragon. Oh, and don't forget the board rule against personal attacks.

I'm well aware of the board rules against personal attacks. And trust me when I say, if I had personally attacked you, you would know it. You'd still be bleeding, my dear.

Poor Lady! Just registered with the DIS and already she's started a heated debate!

I hope you stay around Idaho! Not all topics get this kind of response!

Sorry if my posts get your thread locked, Idaho. I like to knock scoobs off their high horses now and then.;)

Knowledge is power. One should never discount or dismiss it. It may prove valuable one day.

I'm pretty sure THREATS OF BODILY INJURY are not allowed, either.

I see that YOU only registered 2 months ago yourself, dragon. You might want to review the board rules. Here they are:

Number 3 might be helpful to you.

Yeah, because I'm going to fly all the way to Iowa and find you... how exactly? Big threat that. And what was the threat of bodily injury exactly? I said that if I had wanted to personally attack you, I would have. Just so you won't lay awake at night, waiting for a dragon to hunt you down, I meant that VERBALLY. Still feel threatened with bodily injury?

Just an innocent DIS'er asking a question here...I have heard that trampolines were dangerous but was wondering about those safety nets that go around the trampolines? Do kids still get hurt when those are used? Just wondering. Looks like they prevent falls, etc.

:duck: :duck: :duck: :duck: :duck:

(disclaimer....the poster does not use or currently own a trampoline...question was asked just out of curiosity's sake.... ;) ;) )

What does that have to do with anything? Are you saying that a person has to be a member of the disboards for a specific length of time before they have the right to say what they think?

OMG that is absolutly PATHETIC, what are you 10 years old!! To say something like that is ridiculous, childish and certainly uncalled for!

If you disagree then disagree but my goodness, the maturity level on your above post was pathetic!!

My son had a trampoline for a few years and he enjoyed it greatly. We lived in the country and unless they were relatives or friends with him there were no kids in the neighborhood so we didn't have to worry about insurance matters and other children. He did enjoy the trampoline as did my DH and I. It was awesome laying on it at night looking at the stars.

I think its definatly important to know the info. that Deb posted especially if you live somewhere where UNWANTED people could sneak in. I also think that as long as your child knows the rules and the safety measures then it can be a fun thing.

My neighbors had the 8 foot trampoline that was 20 inches off the ground. My kids loved it. As other posters have said, you do not want multiple kids jumping on any trampoline at the same time, but on this small trampoline we found that it really didn't work well to do that.

Also, my friend (an adult) tried to do a seat drop on it and really hurt her bottom. Since it's not far off the ground, anyone who is very heavy will actually stretch the trampoline all the way to ground. So be careful.

Good luck making a decision!

So...how about those METS????

(this is what I usually say if I'm in an uncomfortable situation and try to change the subject.....)

if you take the time to read the post, you are the only one who jumped ,,the previous posters only offered friendly info/advice

Okay I'm sorry but I gotta ask, are there SERIOUSLY ADULTS out there who really solve their problems with blood ??? The thought of that just amazes me, I mean come on........how old are you?? I'm sorry but that statement really really bothered me. Are we supposed to be impressed that you can beat us up if we don't agree with your opinon. You know I don't know if that statement made was either sincerely funny (that an ADULT would say that) or just really sad and pathetic :(

Thanks for the sarcasm, Deb in IA. I thought I would bump it up for her, since she only joined the boards a couple of days ago and already the "parenting police" are on her case.

are you saying that a person has to belong to the boards for a certain length of time before they can decide for themselves what posts/info to read or ignore, ..prior to that you will decide for them..??

it seems that you were the first to bring up the subject of length of membership

it appeared to be a fairly clear threat to the rest of us.....clear enough that the person on the other end could take legal action if they so desired...

perhaps in the future you could choose your words more carefully..

Yes, I did bring it up. In reference to the op, not anyone else.
