I am pricing our travel to Disney, and I think the train is going to be our best option. However, once we are at the train station I am not sure about travel to the resort. Has anyone ever traveled by train before? And if so, was it very far to the resort? How was cab fare? reasonable?

Thanks!

I know there were lots of threads about the train on the transportation board...you may want to start there. The information was helpful to DH and myself. We took the Autotrain, so we had our car and didn't need to take a cab.

we've used tiffany towncar service everytime we've gone.... they are wonderful... we also schedule a grocery stop .. so we can pick up everything we need for our trip(water, snacks etc).... we are a family of 5... so we usually need the van to pick us up... ran us about 120 roundtrip last time....

The Orlando station is less than a mile to Exit 82 (Kaley Ave) of I-4. Most of Disney Exits are around Exit 65. So you are looking at 23-25 miles to most of WDW, so the fare is about $45-$50 each way. If you go to Kissimmee instead, it is closer but takes much longef.
