How is the breakfast buffet at trail's end, is it any good ? I seen the price of it on Alears does anyone know if the price runs true to form , I think they said it's like 10.99 for adults. Also can you take it back to the camper or do you have to eat in ? Thanks

The price is accurate. You can't take food from the buffet back to your camper; however, they do have a carryout menu. Don't know what they have for breakfast, but we got the dinner one night and it was huge!

We usually eat breakfast there the day we check out. We have always enjoyed the Trail's End's meals. It's a buffet so you get plenty, and with 2 boys that is the most important consideration! They always have a good variety, so everyone can find something they like.

5 Days and 8 Hours til we're back at Fort Wilderness and WDW!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Happy Camping!

Its got all the typical breakfast foods. The waffles are pretty good. I you are staying at FW it is definately worth checking out. I don't think I would make a trip from another hotel just to eat there though. Another comparable breakfast is at WCC at the WL.

There isn't that much of a selection when you compare it to other buffets but for the price, it's not bad. :) It's your standard waffles, fruit, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, pastries, cold cereal, biscuits & gravy.

We ate there this morning & it was very pleasant. Everything was fresh, which is the biggest thing for us. :)

You can't take left overs out with you but you can purchase the buffet for take out. We did this on our last trip in August. For dinner you get 3 containers and a drink, I think they were a lg square styro, a square salad, and a soup container. I can't remember if breakfast was 2 or 3 containers. You can fill them with whatever you want and the containers hold enough to feed more than one person. My DH and I shared and still had room for a couple waffles or mac and cheese for the kids. As the kids are getting bigger I may need to purchase 2 meals next time but it is still a good deal and much easier to feed tired kids in our camper than take them out every meal.

Another thing to think of is the patries in the case near the soda fountain/cash register. They have good cinnamon roll and doughnuts.
We usually get a selection on checkout morning to nibble on back at the camper as we are packing up getting ready to pull out.

We ate there for breakfast a couple of times this July - my son liked the mickey waffles but some mornings he still didn't eat too much so I was happy that since he's under 3 his meal was free. I liked the buffet too and the convenience. Since we were tent camping in July, I also liked the air conditioning to beat the heat and humidity. :thumbsup2

We went in April. I liked it, DH thought it was average, DS 5 didn't eat much, but DD 2 made up for it! The service was very good - fast and friendly.

Eat there every trip. Just had breakfast twice there in the beginning of Oct. Very good!! :thumbsup2 Lunch and dinner is awesome as well.

We were there last week and also saw people loading up "to go" containers at the b'fast buffet--in their pajama bottoms. :teeth:

Since you just got back I need some info. Who was the CM doing the campfire program ? I was curious if Julie was doing the 5 days since Ms Sundee is elsewhere.

Good question. I didn't go to the campfire, but the boys did for an hour or two one night. I'll ask them this evening and see if they remember. At least they should remember if it was a man or woman. :)

Scott,
I was at the campfire last week (don't remember which day is was) but Ms. Sundee was there doing the sing-along. She was great as always. I briefly spoke with her and mentioned that I was a disboarder. She mentioned you and also MrsGus. I had seen her awhile back but it was nice to see her again since I have heard so much about her on these boards. It was funny because she mentioned that she "lurks" on these boards but doesn't post. Was hoping to get to the campfire again but we are leaving in the morning so it will have to wait till next trip. It's been a great 15 days here at FW.

Thanks for the update, I wasnt sure if she still had time to do the campfire show. I am hoping that she will be there during our Christmas trip this year. We missed out being able to go last year.
The people at the campfire program are always so nice, its just good clean family fun.

Thanks again
Scott

BTW MrsGus and I are related, she lives in SC and I live in MI and we didnt even know it. :rotfl:
