Trails End restaurant

Very few places I will eat at onsite if paying and not on DDP, Trails End is one of them. Eaten here 3 times now enjoyed it every time.
Its only a small selection but we really like it, Salad with peel & eat shrimp , veg, mash, meat on carvery, fish of the day, ribs & chicken. limited desserts, something like fruit cobbler & cookies plus ice cream machine.
If you are a little more adventurous and prefer more flavours in your food then I would suggest Boma instead, if you like basic food(like my DW & DS) then Trails End is good, I like both.

I had lunch here and was very disappointed. Very, very limited selection and hardly any customers so I felt rather awkward.

I'm sure it would be a lot better in the evening as the menu is larger and obviously the "campers" have returned from their days out.

We ate here last year before heading to MVMCP - it's basically from the same kitchen as the Backyard BBQ and Hoop de Doo food so would describe it as 'basic but hearty' faire but at a reasonable price (certainly by Disney's standards).

The restaurant itself has a very relaxed and casual feel as you might expect for a campground - we liked it, would deffo go back :)

We've had dinner there a couple of times and have enjoyed it both times. We loved the atmosphere of the restautant and the laid back feel to it. There wasn't a wide variety of food available, but what there was, was really good. I particularly liked the chili and DD loved the shrimp!

we love it there, yes the choice is not as great at other buffets but its far cheaper and for us it covers the food we like;

Chilli
Peel and eat shrimp
Salads
Veges
Prime Rib
Pizza
Fried Chicken
Cookies
apple pie
ice cream

mmmmmm

We tried Trails End last year and liked it but agree with most of the comments. Good value for money limited choice but hearty, lacked atmosphere as few people eating when we were there. Found the seating on the upper teir better than lower which was dark and cold with the door at that level. If paying OOP this is a good choice and you get to see some of the Campground

We ate there two years ago and enjoyed it. Nice quality food (for a buffet!!), and friendly service. I would definitely try it. The only thing that stops us going again is the hassle with the buses (have to wait for an internal one after you park the car / get the main bus, to get to the restaurant). That drives me mad, I like getting somewhere under my own steam!

There are some pictures in my 2008 reviews if you want to see the food - I don't think its changed since! :goodvibes

We went for lunch from Magic Kingdom by boat, very easy and just a short walk from the dock.

We had lunch here last year. It was very quiet, the only other customers were cast members. The food was very good although the choice was limited. The service was extremely poor, not the usual florida standard. We wouldn't make a special trip to eat there again.

Hi we have eaten here twice - once when we took the kids to the petting farm and once before the Chip n Dale cinema show in Fort Wilderness resort. Lunchtime was empty - dinnertime a bit busier. our service was very good both times. Think its a good option if not on DDP and close to the resort - we were staying in Wilderness Lodge - not sure Id travel any distance to get there though

We ate here in October we liked it, very friendly staff & food was good limited choice be we all found something we liked & left satisfied would eat here again.

one of the best things about this place is that although its a buffet, you can also get take out.
Last time we went, there was me and the 3 kids, 2 of them almost adults mind you. We paid for 2 take out meals, which I think cost around $14 each. The containers they give you to put the food in are HUGE. You also get the take out cups to fill up with soda which are about the size of a bottle of coke :goodvibes:

We took the food to one of the nearby picnic areas to eat as it was a lovely evening. We had so much food, that the 2 portions we paid for was too much for us to eat. We couldn't believe that for less than $30 all 4 of us got fed and still had food left over. We would definitely do this again.
