So I'm reading through these boards and the trip reports and just hearing the people talking about Mickey waffles and french toast is making me crave a disney buffet and then i realize oh no we leave next sunday and have no breakfasts planned for the entire trip. So here's my question, we are staying at VWL and i looked on allears and saw the trails end buffet for $10.99!!! So even though there's no character, which doesn't matter we have a character lunch and dinner already planned, this sounds like a good deal!! Can someone give me reviews of the trails end for breakfast? What was the food like. ext!?! Thanks so much!

We ate here in Dec. It is definately the best value. The food was good and the service was good. It is typical breakfast foods. There was: eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast pizza, fruit, donuts, biscuits, gravy, and hash. I'm sure I have forgotten some. It was definately worth it. We stayed at the CR and just took the boat over. You can also take the boat over to the MK afterwards. There is also the petting zoo at FW.

Just making sure, was there mickey waffles??? Thats all i care about haha!!!

There are definitely Mickey waffles! :goodvibes

We stay at FW most times and make sure we get down there at least once per trip for breakfast. We have never had to wait very long either (if at all)

Have a great trip!

Excellent, definitely the best value for bfast buffet. Especially if you have DDE card.
It's basic bfast food, nothing too fancy but they're yummy.
Good choice!

VWL-our resort of choice!

We always eat one breakfast at Whispering Canyon. They are also $10.99 and they serve an all-you-can-eat skillet that contains Scrambled Eggs, Hash Brown Rounds, Bacon and Sausage, Buttermilk Biscuits, Sausage Gravy, and Waffles - they are not the Mickey head waffles (which my husband LOVES) but they are the pinecone shaped variety. He says that they are just as delicious as the Mickey heads. In case you didn't want to trek over to Fort Wilderness. I love the Trails End lunch. Yummmm.....

Trail's end also has great donuts and bagels. A little boy was there the last time we where there ( in May) and was absolutely fascinated by the bagel cutter. ;) And afterwards you can walk thru the petting zoo and see the ponies. :)

Sounds awesome and yes we do have a DDE card so that makes it even cheaper!!!! We actually made priority seating this afternoon so now i'm really excited to be doing this!!! Can't Wait! :cool1:

I have to agree about the donuts! They are just SO good!!! My DS loves them (we have some cute pics of him with this big sprinkly donut and his eyes are so wide!)

We absolutely love eating breakfast at the Trails End...the food is really good and the value is unbeatable!!

We're booked there for a PS for dinner - any reviews?

We had dinner there last year and it was the family favorite. We're currently deciding if we want to eat there or Whispering canyon one night. As much as I loved TE, I think a change of atmosphere would be a good thing. :goodvibes

We ate at Whispering Caynon last year for dinner and are heading bak this time too! It's fun and the food's great! Personally for me I dont eat that stuff so i kinda eat off my little cousin's mac-n-cheese but the rest of my family loves it, especially the pulled pork!!!

We ate there (Trails End Buffet) for dinner last month, and we won't be returning, ever. We felt that the food selection isn't as good as other buffets at WDW, and the food quality was poor. I also felt that the restaurant was dirty. Overall, not a great experience for us.

Just my opinion. ;)

Do you know if they have oatmeal? I have a child who eats oatmeal every day of his life, for the past 10yrs. A day without oatmeal is like a day without sunshine. also, can you get eggs cooked to order or is it all scrambled?
