Going to WDW this Sept. with DH, DS3 and brother's family. Staying at the Poly. Thought this might be a fun evening, dinner at the buffet and campfire and movie afterwards. Has anyone done this recently?...or should we consider somewhere else like the Boardwalk?
Thanks for the advice!

We love Trails End! Since it's a buffet, you're in & out quick. The foods great! They have excellent kids selections, too.:thumbsup2

We stay at WL and do it every trip. Food not fancy but very good. You are in and out quick. Be sure to check the times of the movie and the times of the characters. We assumed that the characters were there all night, but Chip and Dale leave before the movie. We showed up just after they left. It is alot of fun.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried for ADR's at OHana's and Chef Mickey's but everything is booked of course.

It will be nice to try something new!

Go, go, go. Really good food, not too expensive (considering it is Disney.)

DH and I go to Trail's End on every trip. The food is fantastic and the service is always A++++. We now make a point to go over to Fort Wilderness & visit Trail's End on every WDW trip!! :)
We will go there late afternoon, walk around a bit, eat dinner at Trail's End, then head over to the Tri-Circle D Ranch and finish off the evening with a Hay Ride.

Trail's End is yummy! We were there on Saturday so the memory's pretty clear. Some of the choices are clearly not stellar - like orange mac and cheese - but my son liked it enough to go back for seconds! The sliced steak was really yummy and each time they brought out more meat, a line quickly formed for it!

As far as times went, the campfire started at 7:30 for marshmellow toasting, the sing-a-long started at 8 and the movie at 8:40. I don't know how long the campfire lasted as we only went for the marshmellow toasting. :)

Keep trying for the 'Ohana's ressie. I was surprised and got one at nearly the last minute - about 2 weeks before we left.
